Search and Seizure
Josh’s phone woke him as it vibrated on his bedside table. It was an incoming call from Detective Sidd. The warrant for the search and seizure on the home and office of Nicholas Webster was approved and a team was being assembled immediately. If Josh wanted to tag along, he should be ready in half an hour and Detective Sidd would pick him up on the way. Josh responded in the affirmative. He opened the door to Gabby and Daniel’s room slightly to see them fast asleep. He left a note for Gabby on the kitchen counter, left the house, and minutes later was picked up in the police cruiser.
“Morning,” Detective Sidd said and handed Josh a takeaway coffee he had picked up on his way.
“Has anyone told you what a legend you are?” Josh said.
