I woke in a daze. A bright room with sunlight beaming through the open windows. The chatter of people outside. The cold fresh air of the snow covered mountains. The smell of pine and campfires. I opened my eyes wide. I was in a hospital bed, tubes in my arms and a heart monitor beeping. Trexis was hunched over on a chair beside me, his shoulders lifting and falling with each breath. He was fast asleep. I looked at him for a moment, he was even more handsome then I had remembered. And that smell. He still had that gorgeous smell.
