CHAPTER NINE The human world was vast and filled with colors and sounds unlike anything he had ever encountered before. A nearby city was alive and bustling even past the setting of the sun. Dax walked the streets, curiously watching the people move about. Humans were good at building things to help them with every task, it seemed. Rather than walk, they’d built metal beasts with wheels to carry them and packed the streets with these vehicles in every color of the rainbow.
