Alpha Caspian’s POV
This was the last straw.
I muttered to myself as I marched down the stair case, flinging off anything that came to my sight.
The only thought running through my mind as I flew three stairs at once was serving the divorce papers.
It was not physical papers but that would be arranged too.
“Heather!”
My voice echoed through the walls.
It was filled with pain, anguish and complete hatred for this woman that is supposed to be my Luna.
I looked around the room but she was nowhere to be seen.
“Where the f**k are you,Heather?”
The anger inside of me was condensing.
My eyes were turning red and I was puffing out invisible smoke from my ears.
Blood rushed heavily back into my brain,my veins glitching.
My wolf was aggressive and cautious.
It was heated up, ready to pounce on anything or anyone in sight.
My hands were vibrating and could not concentrate on anything.
I dashed through the living room and entered the dining room, searching through areas and corners.
“Why are you yelling my name,Caspian?”
The familiar voice came through the inner room, low and filled with calmness,giving off the wrong impression of her.
She entered the room and the aura of the room fell as usual.
“Why did you keep me quiet when I called for you?”
She laughed out loud and headed to the mini bar, grabbing a wine and its glass.
She strode through to a seat, laughing hysterically before adjusting onto it.
She stared at me and sighed, her demeanor very unconvincing.
“Caspian, am I your maid?”
She asked calmly but I could see through her charade.
She was not calm, she was never calm especially when it came to me.
I clenched my jaw, gritting my teeth and tightening my fists.
“I wish you were.”
She rolled her eyes and poured more wine into her wine cup, sipping on it with long annoying sounds.
“Even in the next world, life would not make me a maid.”
“I hate you.”
I spat out, my breath getting heavier.
“I love you more sweetheart.”
She gave me her evil smirk and stood up, tossing the wine glass into the sink and shattering it.
At this point, I was minutes away from breaking.
My anger was filled to the brim and if she did more, I was going to explode.
“Why would you tell them that I approved the law when you know very well that I was not even aware of it.”
I said through heavy loud breathing.
“Because, I am your Luna and whatever I say goes too.”
“You are using your power to the disadvantage of the pack members.”
I scolded her, but she was indifferent.
Her body did not flinch.
All my efforts to make her regret her actions was watered down.
“A disadvantage to one is an advantage to another.”
She spoke in that sassy tone that always turned me off. I hated it more than I hated her.
“You bi-“
“Shhhh! Is it right to call your Luna that word? Especially here in the public.”
She spoke with her eyes, her hands and face moving around.
There was no one visible in the living room or dinning area, but I know one of the maids were eavesdropping.
I breathed in and drank a bottle of water, trying to reduce my thirst.
“I am calling off this marriage.”
“That is where you are wrong baby, this is not a marriage. I was legally handed over to you, and we are mated. You know the rules.”
She blew a kiss for me in the air and sashayed away, her hips dancing in celebration.
She won this round of arguments again.
I could not touch her or continue with my divorce.
“She needs to go.”
My wolf thought out loud.
“I wish I could banish her from this pack.”
I replied mentally to my wolf and bit my lower lip.
She appeared from the top of the stairs.
“You can never banish me Caspian, no matter how much you hate me. I am untouchable.”
“How did she hear? Oh s**t. I forgot.”
My wolf mentally face palmed itself.
It must have forgotten that we were connected to her and she could hear our thoughts too.
“And oh, one more thing Caspian. I would be out late tonight with my girls and I am taking the limousine. Don’t miss me too much okay?”
She made annoying sounds with her tongue and teased me,walking back up the stairs.
“At least I would have a peaceful sleep this night.”
I muttered to myself and went into my private room.
It was the only safe haven I had in this house.
The only place where I could be by myself without noise from my Beta,Delta and Luna.
After several back and forth, I fell asleep, hoping that at least that my dreams in the night would make me forget all I went through in the day.
The howls of wolves and the race of puppies filled the night, and my snores echoed through the walls of my room.
The night was bad, I could not get sleep.
I woke up terrified,panting heavily and sweats covering my body,drenching my clothes.
The first thing I did was to call my Beta and narrate what happened.
“Caspian, you are just being delusional, please stop talking about this weird dream of yours.”
“The dream was not weird,it was different! I saw my head rolling on the floor and it felt real,very real. The sound of my head tumbling on the flood is still traumatizing me.”
“You saw yourself dead? How is that even possible?”
“You don’t believe me? Do you think I called this early to joke with you?”
“I am sorry if I don’t believe you but you sound crazy.”
“I am most crazy, I am just scared.”
“Scared about what?”
“Something is out to kill me,by cutting off mg head.”
