Kristine’s POV “Two legs???” My brain dazzled on the first sight of wolves I came upon. The headaches in my head worsened and I was barely holding up while walking. How in the world were they standing on both legs? I looked around the place and nothing was familiar. “Where was I?” I tried to back track my memory but nothing was coming up. I raised two of my legs, to emulate them but I fell on my knees. My knees scraped on the hard cement floor, and blood gushed out profusely. Proof of life. I was alive? “Oh s**t!” I tried to apply pressure on the wound, forcing the blood to stop pumping. “When did grounds start having roads? What happened to meadows and grasses and fields?” “Are you okay?“ A weird voice in my head echoed, making my heart skip beats. “Who said that?” I turned around, no one was close to me. “It is your subconscious.” “My what?” “Let us just say I am your wolf.” “Oh…so you are in my head right?” “Yes, and I am responsible for your thoughts but not your actions.” “Why do you think I am here?” It did not reply. I started gaslighting myself, thinking that I probably said something wrong. “I mean, I am sorry if I am asking for too much but everything here looks very strange. They have lights everywhere, I can barely find any grass on the ground and worse of all, everyone has a different fur color and they are standing on two feet.” There was more to add to the details but I was not even sure what to call them. “It is called evolution,Kristine. You have been reborn.” “Reborn? What is that? A type of pack? What pack was I reborn from? Why does it look like I am different from the rest? Where is this place?” My mouth was blabbing any question it felt comfortable with. “I cannot answer all your questions,Kristine. Maybe you will find the answers you are looking for from where you came from.” “I should go back to that creepy old basket I managed to cone out from?” I sighed out loud and face palmed myself. “You checked there right? Did you find anything different?” I gnashed my teeth and nodded off. I was slowly getting triggered by the amount of questions I got back from the ones I asked. “Easy there, no need to get angry.” “How did you know I was getting angry?” “We can feel the same thing.” “That is strange. Infact everything is strange. What is this place?” I moved further into the town, and while skeptically admiring the beautiful scenery, I was noting how everything looked and felt awkward. There were small machines that wolves talked into, it was bright and made funny sounds too. The street lights were bright and there was something metal sticking out from parts of the street. It has beeping lights and low alarms, and the word technology was written on them boldly. “Mar-market. Get your food here.” “Be careful.” “Do you think they would notice that I am walking on four legs?” “I think they will notice that your fur is brown first.” “What the-“ My wolf was not wrong. I was the only on brown fur. “So the evolution changed their fur too?” “I am guessing so.” “That is crazy. The fur might not be a problem but I really need to learn how to stand and walk on two legs.” I said, hunched my back and held the post for support. I walked three steps on two legs and I landed on the hard tarred road. My fur scraped off of my body and I yelped in pain, holding . No one cared to even look. “You have to get yourself up, Kristine. I don’t think anyone is coming to help you.” I humphed and got up, wiping my fur and slowly walking. “You need to get a balance while you walk, so you can find proper footing with two legs.” I rolled my eyes at my wolf’s voice and hissed out loud. “Why are you telling me stuffs I already know?” “Um, I am your wolf.” I felt it shrug inside of my head. “Do you usually talk a lot and will you keep talking inside of my head?” I asked sarcastically while finding my stance. “If you think that I am annoying, you should wait till you mate with a male wolf.” “What is mating?” “The sensual activity done by two wolves in love, under a full moon.” “Does it hurt?” “You don’t have to worry about that, I doubt if any male wolf woukd find you attractive. You look well um what is the word- abstract.” My heart dropped. I thought my wolf was supposed to be a good inner spirit but this was the complete opposite. “I know I have lost my memory but I would never forget how mean you are to me.” With those words, my furiousity built up and I marched down to the market. I bought some canned food and hoped it would taste good. While I was eating, a wolf tapped me. He was huge and clothed majestically. “Hello!” His voice was baritone and he sounded like he was yearning. I was shocked that he spoke to me because nobody cared to do so in the market. “My name is Alpha Caspian. I an the Alpha of this pack.” “That means he is the head of this pack.” My mouth fell open and my hands were shaky. I took a minute to admire his handsome features. The more I stared at his unique features, the harder my wolf purred, wanting to pounce on him. “You look beautiful and different, I have never seen your specie of wolf before around here. I like that you are unique.” “I can swear that he is lying. Don’t belive him.” I could not hear what my wolf warned me about because I was lost in my own love world, blushing up and playing with my hair. “I want you to be my mistress.”
