The disappointment Tom felt at her words were so evident in his face ,she feared what how he'd react. She reached out her hand to take his, squeezing softly on his hand.
"Tom, are you alright?" She asked in a tone that expressed her concern as she kept glaring at him.
"It's just, I've never seen you with any man as a supposed boyfriend nor have you talked about any and so I thought I stood a chance with you. Turns out I was wrong." He voice so low, it said alot about how he felt.
"I understand and truly you aren't wrong to have thought or felt the way you do. It's me who's sorry for not being able to give you all the love that I know you deserve Tom cause you are a wonderful person and any woman will be lucky to have you for a partner." She smiled affectionately at him.
