Valerie's POV
I heard hushed voices in the room. I opened my eyes and was almost blinded by the brightness in the room. To see, I'm still in the small room with the chains still intact. I remember eating the food Ace brought me. I was poisoned and thought I had died, but clearly, I'm still alive.
I looked around to see Ace in the room,
“Hey! What happened?” I asked.
“Are you okay?” He leaned to help me up but I shifted from his hold.
“What happened? What did you put in my food?” I croaked.
He passed me a glass of water and I gulped everything down. Immediately, it touched my lips. I returned the empty glass to him.
“I'm so sorry my brothers added something to the food. I swear I don't know they did but they, ehmm.. Ehm., they took some pictures and sent them to your husband. H
