Some eyes could touch you more than hands ever could....

The room was quiet except for the soft hum of the vintage desk lamp. The light, a warm shade of orange, bathed Aaradhya's room in a comforting glow, casting long shadows that danced gently on the walls. Her room, though simple, felt like a sanctuary to her-a place where the world could not reach her, a place where she could hide her thoughts and emotions from everyone.
She sat by her desk, the chair creaking slightly under her weight. The window beside her was slightly open, letting in a faint breeze, but it didn't seem to touch the coldness inside her heart. Her fingers lightly brushed the edge of the diary in front of her. She had been staring at it for what felt like hours, but the words never came. How could they? How could she put into words something so powerful, so intense, yet so inexplicable?
Finally, she sighed and opened the diary to a fresh page, her fingers hovering over the pen. The soft click of the pen opening filled the space as she began to write, the words flowing from her heart to the page.
"Kannalane enadu kanni netrodu kanavillai"
( "My innocent eyes have never dreamed before. They took in your presence, yet they remain silent. Without knowing a word about you, I wander like a lost child. I don't know your name, nor do you know mine, yet why do our souls feel like they've exchanged places? My voice couldn't reach you, and now, I wonder-what path will ease this pain?" )
She paused, staring at the words she had written. There was so much more to say, but where to begin? The man she couldn't forget. The man she had seen for barely two minutes. A fleeting moment, yet it had left an indelible mark on her soul. She still remembered the exact way his eyes had locked with hers-intense, steady, as if he could see straight through her. It had been overwhelming.
Her hands clenched slightly, as if trying to hold on to something that was slipping away. She had never experienced anything like it before. No one had ever made her feel so... consumed. So helpless. She didn't even know his name, yet she felt like she knew everything about him. How could it be?
"En kangali parithu kondu en innum pesavillai"
( "Since I laid my eyes on you, I've been blinded by love. I don't know who you are, yet you created waves in my heart. We've not even exchanged names, yet I have exchanged my heart. There's no opportunity to speak. What's the cure for the lovesickness?". )
She ran her fingers over the words, feeling the weight of them settle in her chest. She had never been the type to lose herself in someone, but somehow, she had done just that. Lost herself.
Aaradhya closed her eyes and leaned back in the chair. The words from her diary seemed to echo in her mind, reverberating through her thoughts. She could still feel his gaze, the heat of it. It was almost as if he had claimed a part of her, something she hadn't even known was there. How could a single look change everything?
Her heart raced as she recalled the details of that moment-how his eyes had locked with hers, how her breath had caught in her throat. She had been frozen in place, as if time had stopped. He hadn't said a word. But it didn't matter. She felt his presence in every fiber of her being. The connection was undeniable.
She took a deep breath and continued writing. Her pen moved swiftly across the page.
"Alana oru seidhi ariyamale alaipayum siru pedhai nano"
( "As my heart sank in longing, it became restless, slowly pulling in every thought of you. A glimpse of your face, like the moon, lingers on my mind.". )
The words poured out, almost too quickly for her to keep up. It was like she had no control over her own emotions anymore. She had given him something precious without even realizing it. Without even thinking. And now she was left with nothing but the memory of that glance, that connection that she could neither explain nor escape.
Aaradhya's eyes fluttered open, and she stared at the moon through the window. The pale light filtered into the room, casting an ethereal glow on her face. Her mind wandered back to him, to the fleeting moment that had stolen her heart.
"Undhan kanjadi vizhundhail nenjam nenjam tharikettu thalumbudhu nenjam"
( "As my heart sank, it grew restless, slowly pulling every thought of you. The ache fills every part of me, a constant throb.". )
The pain was almost unbearable. It wasn't just a longing-it was a void, a feeling that something was missing, something she couldn't fill. She had tried, but it was like trying to hold water in her hands-it always slipped away, leaving her with nothing but an emptiness she couldn't explain.
She scribbled the next words in haste, the pain of it all spilling out onto the page.
"Un perum en perum theriyamale ullangal idam marum yeno"
( "A piercing glance from your eyes sent waves and ecstasy in my heart. I saw your face at the glance.". )
She paused for a moment, letting the words sink in. It had been only a glance-just a moment in time. But it had felt like so much more. Like her entire world had shifted. She had given him a piece of her, even though she knew nothing about him.
"Vai pesave vaipillaiye Vali theera vazhi ennavo"
( "Like the burning heat of blood and the coldness of the dripping nectar, I wonder what I can do. Just like the wind carrying the mist, and when the flame dies out, it becomes the sweetness of honey.". )
The words felt like they were ripping her apart. How could someone she had never spoken to have such power over her? She had no answers, only more questions.
She leaned back again, her hands trembling as she placed the pen down. The room seemed to close in around her, and she could feel the weight of the moment pressing on her chest.
Her thoughts wandered back to him, to the man she barely knew. He was gone now, vanished into the world like a ghost, leaving her with nothing but the memory of his gaze.
"Oru minsaram parvaiyin vegam unnodu nan kandu konden"
( "In a single heartbeat, I saw you with a glance.". )
"Oru pennodu thonridum thabam thabam ennodu Nan kandukonden"
( "The warmth, the connection, I felt it with every part of me, just as I felt the emotions of a woman in love.". )
"Ennai marandhuvitten indha ulagathil Nanillai Nanillai"
( "I've forgotten myself in this world, for I no longer exist.". )
"Unnai izhandhuvital endha malarilum theinillai thenillai"
( "If I lose you, there will be no sweetness left in any flower, no nectar to be found.". )
"Idhu kanava illai ninaiva ennai killi unami thelinden unnai parathendhan thaimozli marandhen"
( "This is not a dream, but a memory. I have lost myself in you, unaware of my own existence. As I call out to you, I forget even the words of my own language.". )
Aaradhya closed the diary, her hands still trembling. The pages felt heavy in her lap, as if the weight of her emotions was trapped between them. She stared at the book for a long time, her heart aching with every beat.
