Valerie’s POV Raton and his grandfather stared at me, their eyes still wide open in surprise. What now? Were they going to apologize? I didn’t think so. Raton’s grandfather already doubted inside of him, I didn’t think he would want me as a member of the family again. “What did you just say?” Raton asked, standing up from his chair. “You ended the contract with them? You should have spoken out earlier before now.” I could nearly see the excitement on his face, but it didn’t bother me. “Did you hear that?” Raton turned to his father. “She said she terminated the contract.” Rather shrugged, his eyes flickered towards me again. “It doesn’t change anything and are you sure of what you are talking about?” He asked, his eyes locked in mine.
