Valerie’s POV I shook my head, hesitant to Ian’s suggestion. I didn’t see a need to tell Raton about my traveling. If he cared, he would have visited or texted days ago. “I am sorry, but I have to go now,” Ian said, standing up to leave. “I trust you would do the right thing.” I followed her to the door and gave her a hug before she finally left. I had thought she would stay longer but thank goodness she was gone, I could leave if I wanted to. I already booked my train out of the city and was only waiting for it to get dark before I left.
