True Story Bro

"We all know the story of creation. God created everything in seven days. After God created man, his favorite son got angry. Lucifer, was his name. Lucifer became jealous of the humans. God spent too much time on them for his liking, so Lucifer began to scheme. This is where everything starts to go off the rails from what we were all taught." Marisol had all eyes on her while she spoke.     "Lucifer convinced many of his brothers and sisters to join him in his plan. A plan to destroy all of humanity and to take over heaven. He wanted to be the center of everything, that's why he hated the humans. He thought they were inferior to him, so fragile that simple sickness could kill them. God had created all, so why had he created a race that was so easily hurt and given them a world filled with death? Lucifer thought that God had made a mistake and it was time for another to start anew. God knew of Lucifer's plans the entire time, confiding in the children he knew were pure and without hatred in their hearts. When Lucifer and his army came for them, they were defeated. They were only defeated because they had expected the advantage of surprising the other side. Many of them were cast to Earth, while some pledged undying fealty to heaven and would spend eternity giving their very souls to power the gate that would keep out Lucifer. When they reached our planet, our dimension really, Lucifer attempted to find a place, hidden away from humans. for a thousand years Lucifer and his brethren wandered the earth, until Lucifer found a way to get revenge on God. He knew that God took in all of the souls of the humans that died to maintain his power source and he decided that he would take power from God by stealing some of them. He began to steal the souls from wicked men and with time he gained enough power to create his very own dimension that God could not see into. He took many of his followers there with him. When the creation of this new dimension occurred, it left a permanent portal. A doorway into the dimension, that had been used in it's creation. Lucifer inscribed above this doorway, Abandon hope all ye who enter here. This doorway is hidden and it repels those who get too close so it won't be found. God had a plan to balance the scales though. He sent his most devoted of servants to earth, some helped humanity advance, some of them were simply there to save those that were needed, but others were sent down to create a new race altogether. Nephilim." Marisol stopped talking and we all sat there absorbing this story.      "How do you know all of this?" I asked her.         "My father, Zadriel, told me." She said. "It started a couple months before the quarantines happened. I started having these weird dreams. I was in a a fog and I could hear him speaking to me. He told me about our history and then he told me to head west to find the chosen. Our mission is to find as many of our cousins as we can and build an army on earth, so that we can help heaven to finally beat Lucifer. So, I guess you're the first one I'm supposed to find."      "How did you learn how to do...whatever you did out there?" I needed to know how she learned. Was I just bad at it or did I need help?      "My father showed me in the dreams, then once I was able to control it I could contact him whenever I needed to, telepathically." Marisol was giving me a lot of information to absorb right now.      "So, does that mean you can show me?" I asked. She got a huge grin on her face.      "Oh, heckin yes! It would be pretty badass to have someone else to do this with. My father said we are stronger in groups, so I'm guessing we could combine our energy." She paused for a second. "So, are you immune to the bites too? I haven't met anybody that lasted more than three days after a bite."      "Yes, I'm immune. I'm also faster and stronger than I was before. Oh, and I heal quickly." I told her this and felt like we were two giddy schoolgirls gossiping. The excitement was almost tangible.     "You haven't heard from your father though?" I shook my head at this question. I wasn't sure if my dream had been my father or not. I hadn't gotten a good vibe from that guy and he definitely hadn't helped with my powers. Who had the other guy been that I'd heard? I hadn't had anymore dreams either. So I just wasn't going to answer. "Weird, I didn't have any abilities until my father activated me. Oh, well. We can start tomorrow if you want?" Marisol seemed very eager to have another nephilim around.      "That would be fantastic!" I told her excitedly.          "Not to interrupt all of this grossly girly happiness," Branson cut in. "But I was wondering if your father had mentioned, in any of these dreams, why dead people re walking around?" That was a good question that I hadn't thought to ask. We all looked back at Marisol. She chewed on her lip for a moment and stared at the ground while she replied.     "Well, this is the rapture. Not how people expected it to be, no. There are actually a lot of prophecies out there that are true, people just translated them incorrectly." She shook her head as she started to go off track. "Sorry. Anyhoo, Lucifer is trying to take all of the souls now, not just the damned ones. He's using the dead shells to gather more souls. He wants to kill God. So, we're God's new army. Welcome to the war."
