chapter 1 the announcement

From the top of the spiral staircase I can see the  people looking with awe as I walk down, who wouldn't        be envious of me.. 

        I  am afterall Dianna Ellise Desauro, one of the it girls of society often features on magazine and newspapers because of my achievement in business, one ofvthe most sought aftet bachelorette in town.

 " uhhm.... you look beautifull tonight Ellise" a strong hand encircled my waist trying to secure me as if I am going to run any minute...

  "thank you  Neil.."I smiled and whisper in his ears

" I'm not going to run so better loosen up your grip" I scan the room with a fake smile plastered on my face

 " Hun not gonna happen I seem to enjoy the warmth of your body" he teasingly said loud enough to be heard by the guest...

" Mr Simmons my lady please take your seat" Jacob my grandfather's butler ushered us to seat near the make shift stage where my grandparents and mr and mrs. Simmons  are seated

" We are gathered here to witness one special occassion to our presidents life please welcome Mr Nielle Adrianne Simmons for this special announcement.." the emcee said and gave the mic to neil

"As we all know, my family had been friends with the Desauro for a long long time since my forefathers time" he cassually chuckled "and it has been a long dream of our family to be bonded by not just business and friendship that will last centuries but also love" I can hear the audience gasp in anticipation of his words as he looked at me... my palms became sweaty and my heart is rapidly beating as if I had run a marathon...I fear to hear his next words cause I have a feeling that I won't like it at all..

"I would like to take this opportunity to call on the very beautifull Dianna Ellise Desauro to join me on stage" I was tempted to run but the pleading looks from my grandparents  make me stand up and join him on stage..

As I join him I cannot comprehend on what might be the reason for this I was suppose to enjoy tonight bacause my wish to leave the anscestral house has been granted... This was suppose to be a celebration for the Simmons company's anniversarry but why do I feel being trapped

Neil put made me face him" I had always known that you are destined to be a princess Ellise but tonight would be an honor if you Dianna Ellise Desauro  would be my queen"

I was dumbfounded by his declaration..." I  am speechless" i manage to say and looked at my grandparents face full af hope so I did the thing I think best to do and nodded.. Neil put a diamond ring on my finger and kissed it and said" ladies and gentlemen I present to you the only  woman who captivated me for so long my fiancee Dianna Ellise Desauro" he smiled and hugged me but whispered " good job" and I so a longing emotion in his  eyes
