Ronan pov I found the letter while going through Father’s personal effects. Mother had asked me to sort his belongings months ago, but I’d been putting it off. Couldn’t face the finality of packing away his life of reducing a man to boxes and memories. But after last night, after standing in front of the pack and defending my choice, I felt strong enough to face it. His study looked exactly as he’d left it, papers on the desk. Books half-read.
