Different emotions were bustling inside Whitney, her lips curled up in a smile as her hand went to her stomach
"I'm pregnant I'm pregnant...I can't believe this I'm pregnant " Whitney tried to contain the excitement in her but couldn't
"Yes, you're three months pregnant and..."
"Three months? How come I never got any symptoms or felt like I was pregnant, I don't even have a bump yet" Whitney butted in with questions
"Well Mrs Brunzell you have a case of Unknown pregnancy or Hidden pregnancy, it happens that some women don't have symptoms of pregnancy for up to three months or more.....
And they see their period within this period, Mrs. Brunzell you need to take care of yourself now....
Your blood cells are weak and it seems like you've been skipping meals that aren't healthy for your baby,
There's a high chance that you might have a miscarriage if this keeps up" the doctor explained
"I understand doctor, thank you " Whitney stood up
"I better get going, I've got to tell my husband " Whitney rushed out
She was so happy and giddy, who would've thought she was pregnant, now all that's left is to tell Jack
Whitney wanted to surprise him with the news so she went to a baby store and bought a shirt that had *I LOVE MY DADA* Imprinted on it.
And also a feeding bottle and stuffed toy, and she bought a gift wrapper and wrapped the stuff in it with the pregnancy result.
Done with the gift wrapping she bought take out of Jack and headed to his where he worked anxious to tell him the news.
By the time Whitney got to the company, it was lunch time for the employees and Jack was in the cafeteria with his mates.
"How's your wife doing Jack " a colleague inquired
"She's good" Jack replied
He wasn't in a good mood, he had made a bad presentation for his boss and he got yelled out, so he was bumped about it
"I still remember how pretty and hot she looked at that party, you are one lucky man, Jack, I'd hold on tight to her if I were you," the colleague said
Whitney walked into the cafeteria and saw Jack, his back was turned to her so she walked up to him beaming
"Hey looks who's here, it's your wife" the colleague nudged Jack
Jack turned his neck to see Whitney and he didn't know why but he felt quite mad seeing her here
"Hey Hunny" Whitney pecked Jack and greeted his colleagues
Jack grabbed Whitney's arm before she could take a seat, he pulled her into a restroom and flared at her
"What are you doing here"
"I brought take out for you" Whitney replied
"Why would you bring me take out, did I ask you to" Jack retorted
"I thought we could have lunch together since we didn't have breakfast this morning, I also have a gift for you" she smiled
"Just because of that!! Then why didn't you just stay home and wait for him did you have to come here" Jack snapped
"What's the matter with you Jack, it's just lunch why are you so mad about it" Whitney was surprised by Jack's reaction
"Look Whitney I don't want you to come to my workplace anymore...."
"Why, are you ashamed of me, you don't want people to see us together " Whitney cut him off
"I don't see any reason why you should show your presence here, there's food at the cafeteria so I can eat that...and it's not like you're really important that we should be seen together all the time" he blurted
She's not important to him?
He doesn't want to be seen with her?
Whitney's eyes glistened with tears.
She rushed out of the restroom with tears spewing her face and her hand over her mouth.
Getting outside the building she thrashed the gift box and flagged down a taxi.
She got in sobbing.
Jack's words hurt her in all aspects, he could he say such mean things to her
She wouldn't have felt so bad if he had just rejected the food and told her to give home but he said she wasn't important.
