“How are things going with your guy?” Woody messaged me the next day.
I sighed. Woody would understand. He was in a relationship that was tentative, too. Although, I really hoped his survived.
CM: We’re done. Broke up this weekend. How about you? Still going strong?
W: Nope. She dumped me. Must be going around. I still don’t get why.
CM: What did she say?
W: She doesn’t think I want to be with her.
CM: Have you ever told her you love her?
W: I tried. She still dumped me. She doesn’t want to hear I love her.
CM: Maybe she wanted you to fight for her. My guy just walked away. Without a word. I know I made the right decision even though it hurt like hell.
W: How do you know he didn’t want to fight but felt like you wouldn’t listen. Maybe he’s giving you time.
