Nadine and I get to Tim's old room and I lay on the couch. "This is horrible. I hate being without them. And I'm worried those assholes will attack again."
"Me too. 6 of mine are there. It's always horrible when you have to send them off to do their jobs."
"It really is."
"Would you trust anyone else to do it though?"
"Not at all." I smile and shake my head.
"So, trust them to do it. Don't give them too much of a hard time. They don't like being away from you either."
"You're right. And a few days isn't that bad. I can spend some uninterrupted time with Scotch this way."
"That boy is in love with you."
My eyebrows shoot up. "I did not know that."
"It's ok. Men seem to always fall in love first. It'll happen for you. I think that's why they're insisting you wait."
"Probably."
