6 Years Ago Liz's PoV    What a shitty day today. Not only did I fail that surprise math test, but I tripped at lunch and landed on my food, ruining my favorite top, and to make matters worse, my player asshole of a brother stole my girlfriend from me. Not that she and I had a chance anyway, she was known as the school's....... w***e. Not that I believed those rumors, but perhaps they were true.    Arriving home, I noticed both my brothers were already home which I can assure you is not normal. Mathias and his wife Artura are here and Jaime brought my Amy, I guess, his Amy with him. Why the hell of all days would he bring her here. Today is our mother's birthday, so the house or mansion rather will be filled with business associates and the like.    "Just going to rub it in any chance you get I guess huh?" I scoffed towards him and Amy. I can tell she is uncomfortable to be here and Jaime, well I could care less about him.    "You're just sore that I took your girl little sis. She tells me that s*x with me is so much better than it was ever with you. I guess even you can even screw up being a dyke." Jaime spits at my feet with disgust.    "Well your girlfriend is half a dyke, unless she lied to me about that, so I would keep your mouth shut you smug piece of shit." Jaime squints his eyes and looks at Amy with disdain.    "Yeah well, I plan on curing her of the illness within, she won't even like a woman when I am done with her." His smirk sends shivers down my spine. Everything he does gives me the creeps.     "Maybe, she probably never liked girls, to begin with. I hope you realize that you will have to contend with every other male in school. The rumor mill seems to be more and more true from where I'm standing."    Amy looks up at me horrified that I would even say such a thing. "I thought you of all people wouldn't say things like that Lizzy. You know they aren't true."    "I also thought you would never cheat on me, even more so with my prick of a brother, but here we both are." I chuckle and begin to walk inside. "Good to see you too Math and Art, hopefully, I get a little niece or nephew soon hmm." I wiggle my eyebrows at them suggestively.    "Sooner than you think little sister," Mathias says, running and scooping me up in a hug, causing me to squeal. I wonder what he meant by that.    "Put me down you jerk!" Mathias, Artura, and Amy all laugh at me while Jaime skulks inside without us. Amy runs up to me and tugs on the shoulder of my shirt.    "Can I speak with you for a moment please?" She gives me her puppy dog eyes which don't work on me anymore. But I suppose one of us needs to be civil.    "Sure, what is it?"    "I am sorry you know. About everything. I didn't mean to fall for him, but I did. I know I should have said something to you sooner, but things happened the way they did. I truly am sorry." I can't help but laugh.    "You couldn't be more full of s**t if you tried. You never cared about me at all. If you could "fall" for my asshole brother and proceed to cheat on me, then you never cared about me at all." I squeeze the bridge of my nose in frustration. "Listen, we were together for two years, two years of my life I wasted on your sorry ass to be treated like this. I will allow you to be here tonight but I would recommend you stay away from my family. They don't know I'm gay and they hate gay people, they also hate cheaters even more."    Amy begins to cry, something I use to run and hold her for when it happened, but now I see only a disgusting person. "Your tears mean nothing to me anymore, don't ever talk to me again. Oh, by the way, Damian, Clara, and Stefan all said to no longer sit at our table. Should have known they would take my side."    I brush past her quickly into my house, flopping down on the couch. Mathias gives my shoulders a quick rub and Artura ruffles my hair. I can hear Jaime and my mother arguing in the kitchen, something that has been common lately. He has always been the favorite in my mother's eyes, while my father seemed to have favored me.    "Ella es una madre lesbiana sucia, ¡no debería ser parte de esta familia!" I can hear my mother sigh at Jaime, I guess she believes him or something but I don't think she will do much about it.    My mother walks into the living room, looking at all of us. "La cena está lista familia, vamos a comer." She squints her eyes at me, it's only for a second before her eyes soften again. "Come hija, let's go eat."    I pop off the couch, running to her side, grabbing a hold of her arm. We have always been close all of our lives even though she loves Jaime more. She tenses slightly when I do, something she has never done before, but I brush it off as we walk into the dining room. We hear the door close as we enter the dining room, signaling that Amy has finally come inside. -------------------------    About an hour later, we have all finished our meal and are eating the dessert my mother made. My family may have money, but my mother cooks and does a lot of the cleaning herself. Tonight she made a dessert called Tembleque. It's a delicious coconut pudding from my mother's childhood that she only makes on special occasions.    Jaime has been staring at me all night, not too out of the ordinary but the amount of hatred in his eyes is ever more present. Amy has been looking down at her hands the whole night, lost in thought no doubt ignoring him.    "So Jaime, how long have you and, what is her name again, oh yes, Amy, been dating?" My father asks with a little curiosity. Jaime smirks at me.    "We have been dating for three months and growing strong papá." My eyes widen at his claim, staring at Amy, the horror present in her eyes as she stares at me, tears flowing out of her eyes. I only caught her a week ago, but three months, heartless.    "Wow, I am so happy for you Jaime, I hope you and your scumbag of a girlfriend stay together forever, you certainly deserve it!" The venom in my voice leaking out.    "¡No le hables así a tu hermano, discúlpate en este instante!" My mother shouts at me. I shake my head. I feel like sticking up for myself this time.    "No mamá, he deserves it this time. They both do." I also point to Amy who is crying, holding her eyes.    "¿Esta loca loca cree que puede hablarme así? ¡La mataré!" Jaime screams trying to lunge towards me. My father grabs me and pulls me back as Mathias grabs Jaime.    "What the hell is going on between you two. You always hated each other but this is different. Explain this right now," our father yells.    "I was dating Amy for two years when he comes along and takes her from me. He doesn't even love her, he just wanted to make me suffer. Worst of all that dummy over there fell for it." I scream pointing at Amy. The rage in my eyes is evident.    The room goes quiet, Mathias and Artura both look down while rubbing their temples. Amy looks at my mother horrified while Jaime also looks a little scared. Amy looks at him and he shrugs his shoulders, signaling I was correct in my assumptions.    My mother looks at me with disgust. "¿Que acabas de decir? Lesbianas en mi casa? ¡Qué cosas repugnantes has estado haciendo en tu escuela, mierda!" She then turns her head to Amy and points at her. "And you girl, are a lesbian w***e? You like cheating on people?"    Amy just shakes her head no as we all shrink in terror. Even my father doesn't know what to do. My mother looks at me with hatred and disgust.    "Tú, sal de esta casa y nunca regreses. Ninguna hija mía será una lesbiana repugnante. ¡SOLO DEJARTE PERRO ASQUEROSO!"    I begin to cry while Mathias, Artura, and my Father try to calm my mother down. There's no going back. When my mother says and does something, she never takes them back. Call it pride or whatever, but I no longer have a mother. I simply walk out the door, tears spilling down my cheeks. As I leave I hear my mother screaming at Amy, followed by footsteps quickly coming towards me.    I get to the sidewalk outside the gate and stare back at my house. Amy is on the sidewalk as well, holding her eyes.    "I hope the d**k was worth it, maybe next time don't be a shitty girlfriend. I would say good luck but I honestly hope you rot in a ditch somewhere." I begin to walk down the sidewalk when I hear a small "I'm sorry," coming from Amy.    I just shake my head as I walk off in the distance.    That was the last time I say any of my family.
