Ratnawulan had passed two forests, but she had not seen a deer. She became irritated and her joy diminished a lot. Why is she so unlucky, she thought.
Indeed she saw many other animals, but it was not in the nature of the virgin to carelessly shoot arrows and kill animals for no purpose. If she wants to kill a deer, she must be the sacrifice for her arrows, not other animals. Ratnawulan had never killed an animal, if she wanted to eat the meat, or if the animal had not attacked her. Even if she meets a tiger or a large snake, as long as this animal does not disturb her and does not disturb the people, she does not want to attack or destroy it.
After the sun had risen high and midday had passed, she came to a forest to the north of the mountain. Outside the forest, there is a hamlet called Jatikembar hamlet.
This name was given to the hamlet because it contains a pair of teak trees that are large and old and of almost the same shape, hence the name twin teak. Ratnawulan was well known to the people there, so this virgin wanted to stop there to unwind.
Suddenly she saw the deer shadow flash. Her heart was pounding with joy and like an arrow released from her bow, her body shot off and hunted the deer swiftly. Deer is an animal that can run very fast, but knowing that it was being chased by people, the deer ran stealthily so that for a moment Ratnawulan could catch up with it. It was useless for the animal to hide, because the pair of girl's eyes, which were very sharp and trained, could always follow her.
At a very good time, when the animal was about to run again out of the reeds, Ratnawulan quickly took her arc and her arrow. Very deftly without looking at her again, her hands moved with arrows and "sr!" an arrow shot down was a whitish glow and with precision, it pierced the heart the beast that collapsed could not move or make a sound again because it died the moment the arrow pierced its heart.
Ratnawulan's heart was unbelievable because of this result. She kept her bow and arrows, then ran to the deer that lay lifeless. Her joy made her act less alert and did not see that above the Elo tree branch in Trusa village, there was a leopard lurking with a grimace.
At first, the leopard was about to attack the deer and make the deer fill its hungry stomach, but when he saw Ratnawulan running over, his attention turned to this living prey.
Ratnawulan bowed and was about to pull out the arrow that had stuck in the deep chest, and at that moment the leopard tiger roared with a very loud sound.
Ratnawulan was surprised and only then did she know that on it was a leopard starving, but too late because by that time, the wild beast had crashed down with its front legs stretched out its claws and mouth spread wide.
However, it was not for nothing that Ratnawulan received years of training from Panembahan Mahendraguna and he would only embarrass Grandpa Semeru's name if he surrendered to the attack of only one leopard! Even though her body was still bent and was in a bad position and wasn't strong at all, her fortitude and composure helped her a lot. With great swiftness, she fell to the left and rolled quickly like a pangolin so that the leopard's impact hit an empty spot. When the tiger, grinning angrily, turned around, the mighty virgin was standing tall and ready to face it.
"Cheating beast!" she cursed with a mocking smile. "If you really are brave, then charge forward, don't take the opportunity while your guard hits you."
The leopard who did not understand the words of the girl had not finished yet, had growled and crashed back. But this time, with a very beautiful and agile movement, Ratnawulan dodged to the right and when the leopard's body grabbed her she turned her leg and gave a gift of tearing towards the animal's rump so that the tiger was pushed forward and fell forward.
Ratnawulan laughed, while the tiger got up quickly. She did not immediately attack but grunted slowly, her mouth pulled out, grimacing as if showing the crooked cuffs to the opponent. The two forelegs scratched the ground so that the grass didn't break because the nails were scratching hard, even small stones were also being dug out! It was as if she wanted to show how strong her nails were. Her body was lowered so that her flat stomach touched the ground, all the tendons in her legs ready to hit again.
For other people, especially women, having just seen the cloves and sharp and sharp teeth and fierce and strong claws, of course, she will shiver because she feels creepy and afraid. But Ratnawulan even laughed amusedly and said as if his opponent was a human who understood her words.
“Rotten tiger! You have sharp objects, do you think I don't have those?
Do you see that? While once her right-hand moves, then Kyai Banaspati's kris that is always tucked in her waist is now in her hand!
It is very strange, either because of the efficacy of Kyai Banaspati, the heirloom kris given by Grandpa Semeru, or because of the girl's tension which was very strange to the leopard, but the evidence of this animal seemed to hesitate to continue her attack. For a long time, she was crouched, grinning slowly and even her body then moved backwards very slowly!
"Hey, coward! Are you worthy of being called the king of the forest? " Ratnawulan sneered and she looked at a rock that was in front of her at the leopard. The leopard groaned in pain and, with its forelegs and mouth, it tried to claw or bite its missing tail so that its body swirled like a propeller. Then, with overflowing rage she lunged for the lag, now not by jumping up, just lunging forward, her body straightened and lengthened. Her two forelegs clawed towards Ratnawulan's body.
This attack was doubled by laughter by the warrior girl who then jumped up through the tiger's body while shouting.
"Watch your ears!" And when she moved her kris, the tiger's left ear cut off!
