Liam The garage smells like oil and sweat, but I don’t care. My hands are greasy, my arms ache, and yet I feel… content. Because after months of worry, I’ve realized something important. I’ve grown. I’m not the same guy I was last summer. I’m more patient. More responsible. More aware of what I want. Mostly, I want her. She’s been on my mind all day, even in between tightening bolts and tuning engines. I find myself smiling at nothing, thinking about how she talks when she’s excited, the way her nose crinkles when she laughs, the way she always knows exactly how to make me calm down when I’m overthinking.
