Nate turned into the parking area at the end of the main road through the Rimutaka Forest Park, then switched off the engine. Thankfully, the weather was still good, and hadn’t deteriorated like the rest of this trip. He could have kicked himself for the way he’d behaved over the flat tire, but he hadn’t been able to get rid of the memory of Glenn’s cruel comments that last time. What the hell had he seen in Glenn? The more Nate thought about it, the more he wondered whether their breakup should have happened sooner. “You were right. It’s beautiful here! The scenery—amazing.” Rusty got out of the car and turned in a full circle.
