Alaric
The following morning, Alaric is in his office thinking about the incident at the pub yesterday. He has been trying to figure out why Andromeada didn’t reveal herself. The only reason he came up with is that she likes him. She has to absorb that he’s her mate. After all, they have never tried to be kind to each other. As much as Alaric disliked Andromeada, he respected her for not being a pretender. If she didn't like a person, she made sure that person knew it. He chuckled, thinking about how Andromeada would tell Brandon off in a nice but nice way. Brandon was too stupid to realize he had been put in his place.
Niam laughed, "At least you got rid of Giada. She's probably still wondering who the invisible woman is who threw her ass out the window like she was a piece of paper. I heard she was knocked out for hours. On a serious note. Are you really considering accepting Andromeada as your mate? Before you answer that, let me remind you that you'll never know when she's lurking around. Who knows how long she was there before that window thing happened?" He's looking around the room, wondering if she's there now.
Alaric nods and taps his chin. “Yes, I am, that is, if she’ll have me. We may never love each other, but we would make wonderful allies. Andromeada wants her birthright. The King has warriors. I’m sure she doesn’t, since she’s the princess. I have warriors, and I know for sure they’re 100% better fighters than the royal warriors. Not to mention an heir. She and I both need an heir. That's the only way Andromeada can ensure that Brandon or one of his offspring doesn't gain control of the kingdom. As far as how long my mate had been there. It was when she pulled Giada off me." He frowns, "Brandon is here. His ass has some nerves showing his ugly two-faced ass here."
"You were right about the asshole. He came to see if you know about him and his two rogue friends." Niam looks at the door as Brandon walks into the office.
"What brings you here?" Alaric narrowed his eyes, looking at Brandon's hand on his stomach.
Brandon says he came to see if he wanted to go into neutral territory with him to hang out. After the crazy crap that happened last night, he needs to relax and have a few drinks.
Alaric isn't interested in anything Brandon says. He knows the true reason Brandon's here. Alaric refused to give him what he wanted. Truth be told, he's planning Brandon's demise. What Brandon and the King did to his mate still doesn't sit well with him and Spartan.
"What kind of crazy crap?" Naim sniff. "Is something burning?" Then he looks at Brandon.
Brandon turns his nose up. "Hell yes, something burning. Me. Don't ask me how. But a damn chimera attacked me." He doesn't want to say it happened in his dream. They might think he's crazy.
"A chimera. It couldn't have been a chimera. That's a Greek mythological creature. A monstrous fire-breathing hybrid creature from Lycia. I don't believe they still exist. Are you sure that's what it was?" Alaric is skeptical that's what happened and thinks it's related to the rogues.
"Oh, I'm sure the b***h made sure that I knew what she was," Brandon yells, pulling his shirt up before he realizes he had done it.
“Keep plotting against my daughter, and you will die soon." Alaric and Naim read as they walk over to Brandon. Both men lean close to his stomach.
Alaric knew it had to be regarding Andromeada. But why would a chimera be protective of his mate? A better question would be where one would be. He's brought out of his thoughts when Brandon mentions that centaurs tried to take his mother's head.
"Yep, you heard me. Centaurs and Chimera want my mother and me dead. " Brandon says, because he saw the disbelief looks Alaric and Naim are giving him.
Naim scratched his head, thinking Brandon had lost his damn mind. And his ass is making s**t up, trying to cover up something he and those damn rogues got their ass into."
Now, Alaric is more curious about his mate and who her mother is. He has decided that first thing in the morning, he's going out to search for his mate. If Andromeada is in Minneapolis, he'll find her. Seems like every day he has more questions to ask Andromeada.

Aphrodite and Andromeda
Aphrodite is staring at her cell phone because Mikkos had tried to call him. But she was still angry with him and sent his call to voicemail. She’ll talk to him when she’s finished making him suffer. If Andromeada hadn’t come to her when she overheard Brandon and Dorian’s plotting to kill him, he would be dead.
The more she thinks about how he put their daughter in harm's way to entertain his ugly mate and dumb son, the angier she gets. Her palace starts trembling from her emotions.
"Mother, calm down before you destroy our home." Andromeada appears beside her mother. "What has gotten your panties ruffled?"
"That father of yours. I always thought he was an intelligent man. Boy, was I wrong. He's dumb as a rock." Aphrodite sits down. "Yep, Mikkos is like any other man, dumb as hell."
Andromeada silently agrees with her mother. She sits on the floor by her mother's feet and changes the subject. "I've found my mate. I wasn't planning to tell you later tonight. But I believe now it's the best time. Mother, you'll never guess who he is. I still don't believe it." She shakes her head. "Not in a million years."
"He can't be that bad since it's not that lowlife half-brother of yours." Aphrodita looks at her. "Besides Brandon, there is only one man whom you dislike. Alpha Alaric Kidman."
"Yep, Alpha Alaric is my mate." She pouts. "Why would the Moon Goddess do this to me? Alaric's pack is strong and good-looking. I would say he's handsome. Maybe we can be paper mates. Darn, I almost forgot I'll need a child. Yes, a heir or two. Once I'm queen, I never plan on Brandon or his children to sit on the throne. Maybe it's time the asshole and I talk. I hope he has grown out of his arrogance." Andromeada picks up a gold ball, looking at Alaric, moving her head from side to side, thinking, "how handsome he is. Maybe I can work with that. Yes, I believe I can."
Her mother chuckled, "Yes, he is quite handsome. A grandchild or two would work for me. This man would be a great asset to you while going up against that snake of a half-brother. Best friends talk. Your mate may know Brandon's weakness and also what makes him tick. Alpha Alaric may be your best ally."
"Mother, you're making Alaric more tempting. He could be my inside man." She's still looking at him. "Too bad I can't hear what he's saying."
"That's the best part when it comes to a man. Yes, dear, quietness is best. Beleive me, when they start talking, they don't know when to be quiet. Don't ever wish that," Her mother shakes her head.
Andromeada laughs. "Mother, you're the Goddess of love. How could you say that?"
"Goddess of Love, dear. Not the Goddess of Crazy." Aphrodita looks at Alaric, "You two will make some beautiful babies."
She looks at her Mother than back at Alaric. "Mother, you're right. Alaric and I would have a beautiful or handsome child. Maybe the Moon Goddess hit this one right." Andromeda smiles. "I can definitely work with that."
"It seems you get your badness from me. That's a good thing." Aprodite shimmies.
Andromeda laughs and shimmies.
