He was back. How could he keep up with this charade? How did that poor man not notice he was missing his money? She didnt know exactly how much he got, but she was sure it was a bit, by the way he shifted it out of sight to pay. Humans never notice anything tho. She wondered how long she could deal with serving him drinks he would never taste. Maybe she should just take a long break and invite him out back. Then they could get this over with and she could go on with her life. She had been watching him, watching her since he came to the bar the first time, but she had also noticed how all the men and women in the club that night seemed to watch him too, and the women kept trying to get his attention much to their dismay. Maybe her co-workers wouldn't find it that odd of her taking a break when she rarely did. Especially if they saw her going outside with him. Naturally, he was the only person to have ever been in the place to match her beauty and grace. It is only natural they would gravitate towards each other. She often noticed her fellow bartenders going for their equals, and this was the first time there had been one for her. Maybe she would have some fun with him before she killed him. After all his difference was the reason she let him get close enough to begin with. The Fae were all light and the same, but she was attracted to the darkness she saw in him and wanted to know more.
She had known he was watching and following her all those years ago, and at first, she wanted to run, but he was so different she let herself be caught. She was curious and wanted to know more. Had she known what would happen, she probably would have acted differently, or at least tried to protect herself. What was she thinking? She hated this creature for as long as she could remember, almost as long as she had been alive. Why now when she was face to face with him, is she suddenly able to clearly remember the reason this all happened, but more importantly why did she forget to begin with? Whatever the reason, she must kill him and maybe, be able to end her suffering. As his turn to order kept approaching, she quickly scribbled a note on a scrap of paper. "Meet me out back in 15 minutes." One way or another this was going to end soon.
She kept counting the patrons, in between them. 5 to go, 4 to go, 3 to go, 2 to go, 1 more. Then there he was in front of her. Before he could utter a word she slipped him the note and winked, took his glass, and brought back another ensuring to make slow decisive movements so he could fully appreciate her. If she had learned nothing in all these years, it was that her body was her greatest weapon for attracting a victim. Even women were easily swayed by watching her move, for it gave the impression she was very flexible and could do amazing things with that long slender body. This was a fact, although she did not know it, having never let herself get close enough to another being to try. When she returned with his glass he gave the slightest of nods and disappeared. This will be easier than I thought. Thankfully he hasn't shown the slightest bit of recognition to me yet. Hopefully, my luck will hold out until it is too late. Unfortunately, her fellow bartender noticed the entire exchange, and when she walked up to the woman to tell her she was going on a break, she was unprepared for the comments made.
"Finally found one up to your high standards, eh? It's about time. I hope you end up alone out there looking like a fool. All the hot guys want you and they only pick one of us after you ignore them all night" said Olivia the other bartender. Viviana was taken aback by this comment, but let it slide. If only she knew what was really going to happen outside she would probably scream and run. No matter what this was her last night at the club, and the realization of this just set in for her. There is no going back now she thought to herself. At least she always had to foresight to keep the extra money on her at all times. She waited until Olivia's back was turned and slipped 1/3 of the cash into the tip jar at the end of the bar. She then walked to the front bar, under the guise of telling those girls they were about to get busier, and slipped the rest into each jar. Finally, she went into the back and opened up the locker that was assigned to her. As she grabbed her backpack out of the locker she put the lock inside. It was time, either way it would end tonight.
