I could feel Elijah’s eyes boring into me the entire time and I really hoped that he wouldn’t try to talk to me so I stood up quickly, placing a soft kiss on Leo’s head and practically running out of the room. My breathing seemed to calm down as I walked back to my room, happy that I didn’t have to speak to him or hear his excuses.
