I stared at Elijah as he dropped Leo gently on the bed.
The words he’d said to Hannah replayed in my head. He said I changed his life.
He kissed Leo’s forehead and stood up to face me. With no words, he walked toward me and took my hand in his, bringing it to his lips and kissing it softly.
My eyes fell to his lips, wanting them against mine so badly. He seemed to have gotten the message but I was disappointed when he didn’t kiss me.
Instead he pulled me out of the room, closing the door gently behind him.
Where was he taking me? Did I do something wrong?
We stopped in front of my door and he gave me that look again. What was going on?
