The next morning I woke up to the sunlight that shone through my room window.
The sky was light blue, clear of the clouds, which made for a beautiful spring day.
Tired from the busy day yesterday, I looked around my room, which was lit by the sunlight, while I stretched out extensively in my bed and looked at the ceiling.
I stayed in bed for a while longer.
Luckily it was the weekend today, so I could sleep in longer and enjoy my day extensively.
What should I do after breakfast today?
Maybe take a walk at the Louvre or explore the city a little more to collect new ideas and get my creative veins even more up to speed.
I could choose to do that later.
I got out of bed and went to the bathroom where I took a relaxing bath.
After the bath, I put on my underwear set.
For today I decided to wear something casual and relaxed.
A navy blue high waist jeans with matching sweatshirt and white sneakers.
I first dried my hair with the hairdryer, then I braided my hair in a French braid, depending on the weather.
I prepared breakfast in the kitchen.
I prepared the ingredients for breakfast.
Three eggs, tomatoes, a little salt, pepper, tomato market, spring onions, and baguette.
I wrapped the eggs in a bowl, added a little salt and pepper, and mixed it well until it was evenly mixed, then I peeled the tomato and diced it, and finally cut the green onions into small rings.
All the ingredients were prepared to make it.
In a pan, I heated the oil a minute later added the diced tomatoes, which simmered for two to three minutes.
Then a little tomato market was added that I mixed in with the wooden spoon, after a minute it simmered, I added the spring onions which were mixed in for a minute, finally, I added the eggs and mixed the whole thing and left the ingredients together connect and ready was scrambled eggs with tomatoes and fresh baguette bread.
I enjoyed that with relish.
After breakfast cleared the dishes.
Took my bag and keys then went out the door.
I locked the door and went to the elevator.
When I got to the lobby, I wished the porter Lumiere a good morning.
To my surprise, I saw Ren Cartwright outside the lobby.
What was he doing here where I lived?
Please don't tell me he stalked me, just happened to pass by!
Please be this a coincidence!
"Good morning, Mr. Cartwright."
I tried to be polite but distant because I wanted very little to do with him.
My simple wish was to lead a normal life and take revenge on the people who had destroyed my life, which I could only do when I had enough work and money.
I had a lot of time to make a name for myself, which gave me a good opportunity when I had a lot of assignments.
To achieve my goal it would be better for me to stay away from him.
Which I always tried, but to my misfortune it always showed up where I was.
"Good morning to you too, Miss Golding."
His voice was hypnotic, even enchanting.
I noticed that I let him zero again, which didn't suit me at all.
I tried to pull myself together.
There is no way I would let him ruin my relaxing day let alone my weekend.
I nodded to him out of politeness as I made my way to enjoy my day, but unfortunately, he followed me.
"Are you going anywhere? It would be better if I came with you. It's not safe for you to be out alone."
I ignored him from now on when I heard Mr. McGregor call out to him.
What made me breathe easy.
I breathed in and out deeply, trying to calm my heartbeat and lowering my pulse by breathing in and out.
I spent the rest of the day in the Parisian parks and in the cafés, where I used my sketch pad to create new designs and ideas for new collections, even to get inspiration.
This time I let my soul and heart speak for it.
At some point, I would realize these designs, or rather the collection, and sell them on the market or maybe open my shop in one or two years, later maybe found my own company, if the shop works.
My cell phone started ringing, I looked at the caller on the display.
I smiled at who the caller was.
As if she read my mind when I needed her, which also sometimes happens the other way around, when she needs me, then I call her just like she did to me.
I took the call.
"Bonjour Geneviève!"
"Bonjour Amelia"
"Where are you? I hear people talking behind you."
"I'm in Café de Flore. Where are you?"
"I'm in Rue de Commerce. I come to you then. Stay where you are."
"Ok, I'll do. Be careful on the way."
"I always am."
"AU Revoir!"
We both said at the same time and hung up.
Even if we were different, we wanted each other very much because we were both crazy when we were together.
That's how we were.
She was my Meredith while I was her Christina.
We complemented each other.
She was the other half that I could never find.
I wondered what if I had met her in my previous life, then I might not have been so alone, but I can't dictate what if, in my second chance in life, I make the decision I make had taken to completely change my life and make it for the better.
My luck was to get a second chance to live my life as it should be if I accepted the chance that was offered to me at the time.
That would have been mine back then, if I had accepted her, now I experienced the life I was destroyed by this asshole, the b***h, and my naivety.
Lost in my thoughts, I didn't even notice that Genevieve had arrived.
It was only when I heard her voice that I noticed her presence.
"Hi, Meli! Here I am."
So she was always loud and attracted attention. But I loved her for that, her crazy nature made her unique.
"Hi Gen!"
Gen put the shopping bags next to the chair in their place.
She waved the signal to the waiter, who immediately came to our table to take the orders.
Gen ordered her mocha and macchiato with a baguette sandwich with smoked salmon and cream cheese in between the salad.
I ordered my Mocha Chocolate with a baguette covered with mozzarella, tomatoes, cucumber, eggs, and tartar sauce on each side of the baguette bread slices.
I only noticed that I was hungry when my stomach started to growl, which was a bit embarrassing, but then started to laugh which made Gen laugh when she heard it.
The waiter came back with our orders and placed our orders in front of us. We started eating after he left.
"How was your day?"
Gen took a bite from her baguette when she asked me.
Up until the incident with Ren Cartwright, I noticed that my day had been very productive.
"Very productive."
I gave her a brief answer.
"How was your day?"
I asked her the same question.
I already knew the answer from her; rather, I saw the answer in front of my nose.
She had done a lot of shopping, which could be seen from the many shopping bags.
"I did a lot of shopping, as you can see.
As the saying goes, 'Shopping is therapy for the soul.' So I went shopping."
As I could see, something had happened again.
She only did that when someone she was with broke up with her.
Typical!
That happened more than she liked, which I also found very sad.
She could never find a man who carries her in his hands and reads every wish from his lips.
I wish she could find a man like that at some point.
She saw my look. She knew I had guessed the situation.
"Yes, okay! He broke up with me. I don't know what to do with the men and I have. Whenever I think he's the one for me, they immediately disappear from my life."
She was very upset by the whole thing.
Sometimes it was better to be alone for a while and just focus on yourself to heal yourself from what had happened.
"Take the time to focus only on yourself now. In time you will find the right one."
I also thought of the advice, but I had the feeling that I had not only said it to her but to myself too.
