I keep Zack close. He feels broken in my embrace. The guy always acts like nothing bothers him, like nothing bad will touch him, but his family saying that they want nothing to do with him seems to have crushed him. It seems to have hit something inside him that nothing has been able to hit until now. His family turning away from him is so hard to deal with that he’s falling apart in my arms. Of course, we knew there was a possibility that something like this could happen.
