14 Ginny went toward second class in search of Maureen and found her in the corridor with Cecilia, staring out the window at the crowd of newspapermen. “I hope they take my picture,” Cecilia said to Maureen with bright eyes. “I’d love to be in the papers. Maybe they’ll take your picture, too, it could help your acting career,” she told Maureen. “My mother would just die,” Maureen giggled. “Hello, Maureen,” Ginny said. Maureen turned to look at her. “Oh, miss—Ginny. We heard that something else has happened!” “Yes, I’m afraid it has.” “I wonder if the newspapermen outside have heard,” Maureen said. “Probably not yet,” Ginny said. “The detective’s going to be making an announcement later, but I can tell you that another crime has been committed.” “That’s terrible,” Maureen and Cecil
