By then, Detective Keating had asked the train crew to block off the corridor so that no one else could pass during his investigation, but Hendrik appeared.
Hendrik approached the group in the corridor and whispered to Ginny, “I managed to sneak past the crew to see what was happening. I heard a body had been found but didn’t know you were involved. Are you all right?” He looked from her to the Warwicks.
Ginny nodded. “I only came across it.”
Hendrik offered a sympathetic pat on her shoulder.
“Sir, what are you doing here?” Detective Keating said to Hendrik. “You’re not supposed to be here.”
Hendrik handed Keating what looked like a business card. “Are you the detective who’s investigating? Hendrik Bergen.” He offered his hand.
