I didn't pick his calls. I had pressing matters to attend to!
We were at a restaurant now because apparently, there was a lot that these two had to tell me. After mentioning my grandpa, I had a hunch I could benefit from what they were about to tell me.
This man, Diego? He kept staring at me and smiling. There was an air of handsomeness around his eyes but it just made me more angry the more I stared. And the girlfriend, Anna? She hated me, but at least she would get straight to the point with me.
"So, Anna?" I turned to her. "I've booked a ticket back, but I'll have to leave soon. What do you have to say to me that may just about make a bit of sense?"
