A Visit

Elena's POV "Thanks for coming with me." I said to Logan as we arrived at the salon. "You know," I didn't know why I decided to be vulnerable now. "I haven't really thanked you for everything you've done so far. I really am grateful." He just nodded, he didn't bring his gaze to meet mine. Something didn't feel right. "Are you mad at me?" I asked, I didn't like him being quiet to himself like this. Logan looked stunned I'd asked that question. "What? Of course not. I'm not mad at you, Elena." Of course, that didn't seem convincing. "Why do I keep feeling like I need to repay you in some way? I don't like that feeling. I'm sorry but after all of this is settled, I'd like to leave. Leave the country, start over someplace else." He looked at me for a while like I'd suddenly grew crazy.
