The rest of the night was a blur. Gavin and I woke up in a small clearing next to the lake on the edge of our territory. I sat up and pushed my palm to my forehead, I had a slight headache from all of the excitement. I wasn’t sure what time it was but I know that it was late. Gavin was a little groggy as he sat up next to me. He too, buried his head in his hands. “What the hell did they do to us?” He was squinting his eyes at me. “I don’t know, but I’m definitely ready for bed.” Gavin nodded before pushing himself up off the ground. He stood in front of me and reached his hands down to pull me up. “I guess this is what happens when we don’t let them out for a while.” Gavin smiled at me and winked, “We definitely need to let them play more often.
