I watch Juniper walk away, her silhouette growing smaller as she heads toward the ocean. The weight of her words presses heavily on my chest, leaving me feeling completely lost. I thought honesty would be enough, that admitting my mistakes and showing her I’d changed would open a door, any door. Instead, it feels like I’ve only pushed her further away.
