Juniper's Pov I know Theodore’s right, we need to talk. Avoiding it won’t change anything, and the weight in my chest hasn’t let up since I woke up. But still, I hesitate, unsure of how to put this mess of thoughts and emotions into words. Finally, I lift my eyes to meet his. His gaze is steady, concerned… gentle. That’s what finally pushes me to slowly nod my head, silent permission passing between us. He steps aside, and I quietly slip past him, my boots clicking against the floor as I walk towards the living room.
