Mei held her hand and brushed the sweaty, matted hair from her brow while Ian hovered in the background, helpless with guilt. The front door banged open. Ian nearly jumped out of his skin as Adam slammed into the apartment. All business, he pushed Ian back, shaking his head when Ian tried to speak.
