I faced my fear

On a Wednesday morning, Anna is lying on her foamy bed and feeling so dizzy and feverish. She quickly took the pain relief pills on the green coloured box that hangs on the wall. After taking the pills, the pains relieved for a while but came back after some time. At the Time Mr Henry was already out of the house so she quickly put through to Fred via the cell phone he bought for her on their last date. "Hi dear Fred I need you to be with me right away" ,without waiting for his response she hangs off the phone. Fred received the call when he was arranging some files in the castle's law firm. Fred works as an intern so his job is mostly clerical. Quickly, he rushes out leaving the files unkept to be with Anna. He could only do that because he is the son of the boss. " Hey son ! Where are you running to, come back and finish your job before leaving" Mr castle's voice thundered from his office. His office is made of a transparent glass so he could see whosoever and whatsoever that is Happening in the firm. "I will be right back in a jiffy" , Fred replied his dad. He uses a Ferrari his dad bought for him on his last birthday, he wanted to get there on time so the car was the fastest he could use. He doesn't want to take chances because of the depth of love he has for Anna.

After fifteen minutes Fred rushes into Anna's room because the entire house wasn't locked and finds her lying on the floor in pain. " Hey, Anna, what's wrong", he moves closer and lifts her up on the bed . " Oh Fred you are here already, I don't really know what is wrong, I have been been feeling so dizzy and uneasy, I don't really know what to do so that's why I called you" Anna said. Life was already ebbing out of her, she was weak and can barely stand on her feet. Fred carries her to his car and prepared to take her to the nearby clinic for some medical check ups.

After several minutes of driving, Fred finally arrives the clinic. Some tests was conducted on her , it took about an hour for them to finish." Oh my God! I am finished, my whole life is doomed, I feel like ending it, I can't have this baby, he has finally ruined my sad life " Anna spoke as she sheds tears lying on the hospital bed. The doctors were ignorant of the circumstances that surrounds the conception so they tried to calm her down but she wouldn't stop crying and trying to roll off the bed. Fred rushes in when he hears about what's happening" Anna I know how you feel right now but just calm down as everything will be ok and you will be fine, okay". " Oh Fred you pretend you know how I feel but I know you don't, come to think of it, I am doomed forever" " No you are not " , Fred sharply cuts her off. " I am about to end my life , I am between the devil and the deep blue sea , I can't bear the shame of Carrying the baby of a man who claims to be my dad. You know Fred sometimes I feel God cheated me by allowing me be an offspring of that union" Anna lamented as she cries uncontrollably. They soon arranges and leaves the clinic.

" Anna you can't go back there, come with me and I will take care of you and the baby. At this moment of your life you need the best of care," Fred tries convincing Anna never to return to her house but to elope with him to their expensive mansion but Anna won't just accept the idea. Fred exhausted all the means to convince her but all to no avail. "Anna you shouldn't go back there for your life's sake, that man doesn't have your interest at heart don't you get it" , Anna gets angry at Fred for bringing up the idea and make move to leave not until he begs her to stay.

Fred and Anna stops by a supermarket called the city gate supermarket, one of the biggest in town and it is well known for its largeness and excellent mode of service. Their customer service is top notch and they are mostly frequented by the nobles. Fred takes Anna in for some shopping spree. Shy Anna doesn't like the idea but Fred convinced her that she needs some things for the upkeep of the baby and for her health.

The fact that Anna is pregnant didn't make Fred to love her less , in fact he accepts to take care of her and the baby. The irresponsibility of Mr Henry over the years has resulted in the plight of Anna. She has been in her shell and feels like ending her life. Depression, regret and shame are her close companions. What a sad reality!

Anna comes back that evening with all the goodies Fred got for her. Luck wasn't on her side as her dad was already home. " Where are you coming from" me Henry asked her immediately she came in through the door. Mr Henry was sitting in the living room. Anna was shivering in fear, her knees began to knock together, her hands were shaking in fear . She couldn't say any reasonable thing . Mr Henry speedily rushes to where she stood and slapped her. Anna broke into tears as she couldn't hold it. Mr Henry grabs what she is holding to check it out and saw all it contained. " Where do you get all these from, oh I see, you now have a boyfriend or some sort of sugar daddy, oh damn, I seriously warned you against these", he said in anger. Anna was drowned in fear, she didn't know what to do. " Tell me Anna who is he, who got you all these before I kill you", Mr Henry threatened. " Oh dad I don't know what you are talking about no one got them for me, I got myself all these, I took up a day job and was paid so I used the money to get all these ". Mr Henry chuckled, knowing fully well that she lied. Well, it was quite easy to detect the lie because the stuffs Worth more than Mr Henry's two months salary. " You can't deceive me ,I am wise, , no one will pay you such a huge amount on a day job. Anna quickly shakes off his hands and tried to run out of the house, immediately he pushed her to the wall where she hit her stomach and started bleeding from her v****a. " Oh it's a miscarriage , aaaarrrhhhh" Anna shouted. As she was down there bleeding, she cries the more. Me Henry couldn't believe what he was seeing" what, who got you pregnant and all these while you didn't speak about it. You Devil wants to spoil my reputation" he said as he moves closer to her and tries to touch her. " Get your dirty hands off me you Devil, you have been abusing me sexually all these while and I kept quiet about it, since I was little, you disvirgined me and now you've gotten me pregnant, I ain't afraid of you any more , you inhumane and wicked bastard. My mom made a mistake in marrying a man like you. I fear you no more neither am i gonna let you have my body again " Anna spoke with much courage. Anna tried to take her leave, she struggles to stand up. He tries to stop her but she reached out to a knife on the floor and stabs him in his heft hand and she quickly finds her way.
