P.O.V. Witch Clara
I received word from the Elders they will come here in the next few days, to test the pup. So now I am in the Alpha office, talking to Harrison, his Beta Philippe, and Gamma Warrior Rahul.
“How soon will they arrive?” I was giving my information so they can organize it.
“They will do the normal Human route by car, so about 48 hours.”
“Is everything ready?” The Beta and Gamma responded yes. “Only the Elders?” I look at Harrison.
“Can you please excuse us? I need to talk to the Alpha. They both look at Harrison, and he nods for them to leave, passing me by and giving a small nod. “What are you worried about?” I speak right after the door closes.
“Clara, you know I am not their favorite person, after the last child.”I could feel the pain in those words.
“It was not your fault.”
“Even knowing that I was not myself back then, the guilt is still strong, not only that I suffer the karma for what I did, I think it is easy to assume that the Moon Goddess is not happy with me also.”
“She knows it was not your fault.”
“Then why did she take Stephie from me?” I knew that was still a wound in his heart.
“It was not her, it was the curse. We now have a chance to make everything right, but you must be open to your son, he must know what occurred.”
“He already knows what happened to his mother because of that nightmare.” Putting his hands on the head in defeat.
“Yes, Lutrice is always trying to find a way to weaken her prey. That is why you must tell him, do not leave another wound for her to open again.”
“If I tell him I will lose my son.” Raising his head to look at me.
“Sooner or later he will find out. Her diary… Is linked to them both.” He just collapses on the chair.
“I cannot escape my own son's hatred.” His head was back looking at the ceiling.
“They will be here to test him.”
“ I hope he is stronger than I ever was.” A broken voice, from a broken man.
“He is, have faith in your son, I know that both are.” He got straight in the chair and his gaze was in mine, trying to understand what those words meant. “Rest and be ready for tomorrow. I will go check your son.” I got up ready to leave.
“Clara, thank you for helping us. I know how much it hurts.” I turn back.
“Trust me, it would be easier if she were dead because I could mourn the loss of my child. I had parted from this world long ago to join her if she were dead.” I got out of the door. I stop outside.
I continued walking to his room.
P.O.V. Catherina
I got outside the castle and went to my place. “I have news for Lutrice.”
Whispers ‘She is waiting.’
P.O.V Lutrice
Whispers ‘Milady, the red witch says she has news’
“Then what is she waiting for? Tell her I am waiting.”
Whispers ‘Yes, Milady’
After a few minutes, the red smoke got inside, Catherina came in front of me.
“What is the news?”
“The Elders will come to the castle tomorrow to do the test.” I look at her.
“Is the child coming?”
“I only heard the Elders.”
“The Alpha is going to be present?” She nods. I started thinking, the mutt has been training with her, but the Alpha, silence, maybe it could work. I need this witch to do something so that I can follow everything. “I need you for a task that will not be easy.”
“Yes, Milady.”
A small spray appears in my hand. “It will be easier for you. I need you to spray this in front of the Alpha so that he can smell it.” Her face was twisted.
“But that will give me away.” Did she really think I didn't think of that?
“It's odorless, do not worry, you just need to be sure that he smells it.” She seems to be thinking.
“The Alpha is always with the witch.” I look at her intently, I don't need excuses.
“Is there any problem?” She comes out of her loud thinking and nods no. “Good, I do not want to need to discipline you. The scar healed fine.” She lowers her face. “Go now, I need this done by tonight.” She was smoking again, leaving my chamber.
“Why did he not respond to my calls?”
Whispers ‘He was outside the country Milady.’
“ I need to show him who he serves. Tell him I need him tonight.”
Whispers ‘Yes Milady’
“Those leeches always think they are above everyone else.”

“Milady you called.” A man got inside the room, white as snow, red lips that invite you to believe his words.
“I think you need a little reminder of who you serve.” I open my hand and in front of me a small girl with blond hair and blue eyes appears in her pajamas, she is sleeping, so I gently put her on the floor. His eyes go wide.
“How did you?” I smirk at him.
“Do you really think that I would not figure out why you are always away for your coven?” His eyes turn red.
“Do not dare to harm her.” I went near the child and got down passing my hand on her cheek.
“I bet her soul is delicious, Human/Vampire hybrid, I can sense her energy just by touching.” He starts to twitch.
“Don’t touch her.” He walks to me, I just point at him making him stop moving blocked by my shield.
“What do you think her mother is going to think when she enters the room to kiss her girl goodnight and she is not in bed?”
“Lutrice put her back.”
“I will if you remember the deal we have. I protect our coven from the daylight so that they can mingle with humans, and you serve me. You not only can lose your newfound family, but you can also lose your position, King Richard of the Vampire Covens.”
“I never failed you.”
“And you never will, or else.” I pass my hand over her cheek again.
“What do you want me to do?” A defeated voice just the way I like it.
“There will be a gathering in the Royal Lands some Elders of the werewolves will be there, I need your men to follow them when they leave the castle, and stay near them for 3 days then report the findings.” His eyebrows shot up.
“Why can’t your witches do that?”
“The Old Hag is in there, they cannot go near her, she would notice the power in them.” That is the only time I regret the limited power normal witches have against her
“Here I thought that they were all stuck in a place they cannot get out.” He also heard the news.
“I still have some that are free.” The only ones I really need.
“Are you planning to free the others?” I scoff at him.
“I do not need weaklings that cannot even defend themselves.”
“They are just…” Realizing how insignificance are you.
“Disposable. Like you and all your vampires are if you fail me. But you will not fail me.”
“I will not fail.” I got my eyebrow up. “Milady.”
“Good.” I snap my fingers and the girl disappears. “Go.” I make a gesture for him to leave, but he stays in place.
“How do I know that she is alright?” I laugh.
“Don’t you trust me?” He just looks at me. “Call your partner, she is back in her room sleeping soundly.” I see him picking up the phone, talking to someone, then he sighs ending the call. “See I told you, I am trustworthy if you do not cross me. Now in three days, I want all the reports.”
“Yes. Milady.” He bowed and left. Why can’t I find someone that simply follows my orders?
“Julius” A shadow appears coming from the shadow that connects me to the tree.
“Yes, Milady.”
“Do you still have power over that Alpha Mutt?”
“Yes, Milady. I still can connect to him, thanks to the royal bloodline.”
“Good, I will need you tomorrow, go to the royal lands, be Catherina's shadow when she uses the spray to make the wolf weak, take control, hide inside him. I need to find out what they will be talking about in that gathering.” I can sense his wicked smile. “While you are in his body, you can enjoy yourself a bit, not before the gathering.” Even as a shadow he still carries his former desires. He disappears. That is the only use I have for him since the time I recruited him drunk in the street a werewolf without a wolf, but his blood was royal, with the right spell, I can make him take over the body of the same bloodline.
