Delmon and the Luna Witch

P.O.V Delmon

On my second day in Tower Pack, I woke up not knowing where I was and got scared I started running to the door getting on the wrong one and entering the bathroom. I look in the mirror viewing me, no bruise face, I look in my arm all I could see are my familiar marks, I pinch myself trying to wake up, it hurt making me calm, breath remembering all that happened yesterday. Elder Silvanie, Elder Christian, the Alpha, Luna. I got startled when I heard a knock on the door getting off the bathroom.

“Y-Yes?”

“Is Elder Silvanie, breakfast is being served. Do you need any help?”

“Why?”

“Why?! You need to eat.” I was always the last to eat in the orphanage, no one ever came to get me for breakfast. Since I was always last, I eat the leftovers that were always, oak meal the werewolves always left that to me, only that. “I will wait until you are ready so I can show you where to go.” I got scared of an Elder waiting for me, a disrespect like that always made me go to the dark cellar. I started running all over.

I pick up a shirt and some pants, socks rushing to the door. I open and Elder Silvanie looks at me. “You do not need to rush. I can wait.”

I blushed. She just put her hand on my head, I flinch at the touch, she is going to beat me, at that, she retracts her hand. I look up and she had the saddest eyes looking at me. “No one will ever hurt you again. Come, let us get something to eat.”

She turned to start to walk slowly me right behind her. We go down the same stairs we came up the big corridor in the middle to the right, getting inside two big doors. Everything in this place seems huge for a kid like me. She stopped, I looked from behind her to see a big table in the middle of the room full of people. Peaking from behind, I see the Alpha and Luna at the top of the table, on the right side I see another couple laughing and talking to them, on the left Elder Christian and a blond boy around 16 years old. There were two chairs free after the boy. Everybody stopped to look at us, making me hide behind Elder Silvanie.

“Do not be afraid. Everybody here is friendly. You already learn the way to address the hierarchy of a werewolf pack?” I just nod and look at her. “But you can’t recognize them?” I nod again. “You will always be with someone that can tell the difference, so just follow their lead.”

“Ok” We started walking to the seat next to Elder Christian and the blond boy.

“Good Morning Tower Pack,”

“Good Morning Elder Silvanie.“ Almost everybody at the table

“Good Morning Luna Leana and Alpha Ansel.”

“Good Morning Elder Silvanie. I swear you do that on purpose.” Alpha Ansel

“Do what?”

“Greet the pack first and not the Alpha.” Eyebrow up

“Well, they won’t stay long. I do not like to miss greeting them.” Then she looked at me and blinked her eye. “Delmon, when you come to the breakfast, you always say Good Morning first to the head at the table, being Alpha, Luna, Elder, King or Queen, then the pack if you do not know the other in rank.”

I look at her inquisitive since she did the other way around.

“Already confusing the boy so soon.” Luna Leanna laughs.

I look at them, and at Elder Christian that had his eyes glued to me, expecting something. I bow my head and say: “Good Morning Alpha and Luna. Good Morning Tower Pack.”

“Not bad, but next time look at the people around you, they will not bite.” I look at her scared

I had a few bites from the other werewolves my age when they tried to get me from my hiding place and got mad at me. I see Elder Silvanie understanding my fear. Luna Leanna rushing from the table to my side.

“Elder Silvanie was trying to be funny dear. You are safe here.” Picking up my hands, I relax.

“I am sorry Delmon, no one is going to bite you, you are safe. Let us go and eat.” I went to the table hand in hand with Luna Leanna. Sat down and eat in silence, I could feel all eyes on me seeing if I were going to cry, but I already learned to never cry in front of others. The pack members came and go, once finish they would ask permission and leave. In the end, we got up and went after the Alpha, Luna, Beta, and Gamma, I learn on the table who they were, to a big round table that seems to be an area for organizing strategies and to do other kinds of assemblies. I could see tons of scrolls around the room, books, and other stuff. We all sit down around the table. I could see everybody face to face.

“We need to see what we are going to do about the boy.“ Alpha Ansel started the discussion.

“When we have to go to the temple for training, he will come with us.” Elder Christian responded to the Alpha, I could only look and listen to them talking about me.

“And besides fighting, what will he learn more.” Luna Leanna enters the conversation putting her hands on the table.

“He will need to be homeschooled, by us.” This was Elder Silvanie speaking, she did have a teacher calm voice.

“Although I do understand the need to protect him, you both have your Elder tasks, you cannot be where all the time.”

“Do you have something in mind dear?”

“Let him go to the pack witch school to learn when his training is done.”

“You want him to learn magic?”

“Yes. It will help him protect himself.”

“Is an Honor, but...”

“Then is decided.” I look at the Elders that look at each other.

’Not even an Elder goes against a Luna, or maybe against this Luna.'

P.O.V Brielle

I wake up with a sort of drum sound. Sensing the grass on my arms I try to stand up, only to feel a sharp pain in my left arm. Looking at it I had scratch marks all over, also a small pain in my back. I lean with difficulty against the fallen tree and look around. Seems I have fallen from the tree I was up in to the left, that is why my arm is in that way, probably also hit with my back on the floor. That must have been quite a fall to see.

Looking at me was a white bunny little bigger than a normal bunny, big green eyes, pouncing his big foot on the floor. After a few minutes of looking at me, he goes jumping away. I try to stand using my right arm, but that little stab on the back made it exceedingly difficult. I was almost up, grabbing everything I could of the tree.

“Don’t push yourself.” I look at my side and regrated immediately the reminder of the fall, there was a small girl, around ten probably, with white hair and green eyes. I blinked twice looking at her, for some reason she reminded me of the bunny from before. On her hands, there was a first aid kit. “It was a big fall, all the forest responded asking for help. Do you mind if I treat you? I may seem small, but I am already in my 30, and have a degree in nursing, by a human school.”

I just looked at her funny. But nodded my head yes. I am on the Moon Goddess Garden, so she probably is another mythical creature. She came next to me and put the kit on the floor.

“Where does it hurt?”

“On the back, and left arm.”

“Since you are up already, let me see your back.” Coming behind me, she pushed my t-shirt up, I hear her sigh. “Just a few scratches. The pain is probably because you hit your back on the fall. I will disinfect and put a natural ointment made in the forest. Most of my remedies are for shifters, so I try to make them the most natural possible. This is going to hurt a little bit.” She went to the kit and pick up some cotton and a bottle. Then started passing on my back. It stings a little bit, I hissed a few times. “Sorry. Bare a little more. I will put the ointment now.” I nod. Her hands were soft as she passed gently on my back, after a few seconds. “Try to move now.” I stretched my back, the pain was gone.

“Feels better now.”

“Can you let me see your left arm?” I nod turning my back against the fallen tree, putting my arm up to her. She picked it up and started touching several areas like the pulse, the elbow, shoulder, asking every time if I felt pain. “Seems nothing is broken you can move it. I will do the same thing I did before.” She picked the cotton and started passing in my arm, I could see her hands slowly caressing my skin. After she put the ointment my arm was as new, only the scratch marks could tell of the incident.

“Thank you” She was putting everything in order on the emergency kit and looked at me.

“It was nothing, luckily today was my off day from work, I was nearby.” I just nodded.

“You said you studied in a human school?”

“Yes. All creatures that can have a human body, at some point study in human schools. We are the link between the worlds.”

“I see.” We started walking back to the clover field. I decided it was best I don’t ask what she was. I think it might be rude. When we got to the field.

“My time to go back.” She handed me a jar. “This is the ointment I put before. See if someone can put on your back you can put on your left arm.” I nod. “Nice to meet you, Brielle.”

“How do you know my name?”

“We all know the protégé of the Moon Goddess. Everyone in the forest will help you.”

“Everyone in the forest?”

“The Moon Goddess forest is a sacred place to every mythical creature.”

“Since you know my name, can I know yours?”

“You can call me, Spring.”

“Like the season?”

“Yes.” She gave a big smile, while she walked away.

I got up from the ruins and sit on the bench. In the Moon Goddess Garden, we can meet a lot of mystical beings. I do not understand why, but my mind seems relaxed for some reason.
