The Unforgivable Mate Curse (long story ongoing)

Elder Natasha

“I Natasha Lightfield, promise to protect the future generations of werewolves. To always remember the customs of our kind. To obey all the rules of our kingdom, so that all is fair, and everyone lives in peace. Always follow the path of light of the Moon Goddess, never to take advantage of my power.’

This was the promise I made to my sister once she occupied the place of our mother as the Moon Goddess, and there I continued my work as an Elder. My sister Elaine is pure beauty. She is younger than I am. When she was born, I saw the Moon Goddess symbol on her right hand. I knew I had to protect her. Since her young age I started training with her and a few warriors that I started ‘finding’, between packs, between rogues. “Crazy right.” But rogues appeared to me when I was walking to her in the forest. As they saw her, they completely went to submission, and gave their lives to her. Her power was so strong, but she was still a child. A lot of people tried to kidnap her to make their packs stronger with her offspring’s. Lucky I was never off guard, most of the kidnappings I and the Warrior’s where able to prevent. But there was one I still regret not being able to see it coming.

I arrive in the Sunshine pack land, still in my sister’s thoughts. The driver telling me we had arrived, although I was not far away. I was with the warriors at a pack that had been almost extinct by vampires. I was training with them to help them fight vampires, and the Moon Goddess Warrior’s where helping the training. When I receive the mind link of Elder Silvanie, I was doing a run in the forest for vampire tracks. I could not depart on the spot, so I told her, Elder Christian was visiting his family pack. I know he is in is old age because he is the oldest of us all, and hopefully he can help in the first nights.

Walking inside the pack house I hear someone talking, so I follow the sound. There were four people in the kitchen area around a big island in the middle, they stop talking once they felt my presence.

Usually I do not hide myself but is almost intuitive once I go across a new pack territory. They look at me and ‘stare’. Well I do have some beauty since I am a Moon Goddess child. I sense their power, the two that where up in the inside of the island are the Luna and Alpha, I can tell by their auras that is one of my powers.  The boy looking at me is and Alpha, is aura is like the Alpha of the pack so he might be his son. The girl was still too young, and the wolf was not out, but I can sense she is going to have a lot of power. And that makes me look again at the boy Alpha, and again at her. “ohhh I see.”

Smiling I look at the Alpha and Luna. “Good morning! I am Elder Natasha. Do not stop your breakfast because of me.” The Luna wakes up, “Elder Natasha, would you like to join to.” I look at the table, I left early. “Thank you, Luna. I will join.” The Alpha makes a move for me to sit. “Sorry for the staring contest but we were only expecting you at night.” I sit and look at the Alpha. “Yes, but I sense that Elder Christian might need me here sooner. Sorry I could not come for the first nights. I could not leave the pack I was, the moment Silvanie mind link me.” I keep my eyes on the Alpha.  “There is anything we can help with that, while you are protecting our daughter.”, “The child is their daughter.” I do not leave the Alpha stare, it showed preoccupation. “Hmmm. Do any of your pack warriors have vampire fighting skills?”, “Yes. The Elite Guard of my brother, and some pack members that reach the age to dominate the skills. “  I look at my side to the Alpha boy that talked. “He seems competent for such a young age.”

“The Plainfield Pack is having a hard time with vampire attacks. First, they would kidnap the children and kill them. Then they started raiding the pack once they moved the children to another pack for protection.”

“Wait, that is my aunt pack. I never knew they were being attack. I only knew that the children went to a different pack because of school.” They all look at the young girl. So that is why I sense the power in her. “You are the nice of Luna Beatriz? Yes. I can see some resemblance. We instructed the pack to do not pass information outside, to prevent further attacks.” I tell her, then I redirect my eyes to the Alpha, but it was the Alpha boy speaking. “Dad. We need to help them.” I look at the young boy Alpha and smirked. My thoughts were correct.

“Go surrender your brother and ask him to come down.” The boy Alpha then stud up and went to find the brother. “Sorry for everything, and we still have not introduced ourselves.” The boy stopped in the beginning of the stairs. Since he also notices the error. And look at the Luna.

 “That boy there is my son Vicktor. He is the future Alpha of this pack.” I look to the boy and he bowed to me. Then look at Luna again, until she dismissed him with a little wave of the hand.

“This little girl here, is Patrice she is friend with my daughter.” The girl then bowed at me and gave me a small shy smile.  “Oh. You are going to be more than that.” I think, smiling back at her with a big smile.

“I am Luna Adamaris of the Sunshine Pack. And Alpha Gabor my husband.”

Then we hear steps from the stairs and another boy Alpha appears. I look behind me .Same aura as the other, with a slight difference. He is a Warrior. I look closer, at him. “Ohhh Moon Goddess you are good.” He as a Moon Goddess Warrior aura, but I do not see the Moon Goddess symbol in his right hand.  “Mom what is it. I was in Brielle room.” Luna Adamaris hisses at him. “And now your brother is. Behave Chadrick we have visitors.”

Then I saw is eyes widen and is mouth drop. I got up from my chair waiting to be introduced.

‘That is cute’ My wolf purr. I try not to give a big smile at his face. Put a blank face, he seems to catch that on. Maybe the daggers his father was sending from behind me might have done the awakening.

“Chadrick, this is Elder Natasha. She is here for the next nights to help Brielle.” At the voice of Luna Adamaris. His eyes widen when he heard that I will be standing for a while. But this time he recovered quickly, probably because the Elder thing sank in.

‘Tell me again why we don’t have a mate’ My wolf questions. I smirk at her. I could sense her feelings for Chadrick the moment he walked in view. She was completely infatuated. ‘Because Elders can’t mate. We will outlive the normal wolfs, so they will die before us. And we could not bear the lost.’  I tell her. ‘Right. Are you sure we can’t mate?’ And the wild overpowers the brain. ‘Not that we can’t. If we want, we can mate. But we do not have a destined mate. Elaine said, she didn’t want to see us hurt.’ I try and reason with her. ‘And being mateless is better?’ My wolf scolds. She never liked that we cannot mate. I am always the one reasoning with it.

“Is better if Elder Natasha sees where Brielle bedroom is.” Chadrick talking took me away from my inner wolf talk.  My skin shivers earing my name in his mouth. But I knew I was not supposed to stay in this pack. ‘I wish my name were on his mouth also’ Wolf whines. I roll my eyes at her. Although I am mateless, does not make my wolf less wolf.

“I better check on Elder Christian first if you do not mind. I sense that last night have been a lot to him.” I saw pain in Chadrick eyes, like if he did not like the idea. “His connection to the temple has gone weak. I need to do some healing.”, “Why am I justifying, just because I saw hurt in his eyes” I think. ‘Ya, you want him also’ My wolf scolds. “Great.”

I see him relaxing at my words. I swear I could sense the Luna and Alpha smiling. “You can heal?” He askes eyes not leaving mine. “Yes. Is one of my abilities as an Elder.”

“Patrice can you take Elder Natasha to Elder Christian room.” I look behind to Alpha Gabor. “Yes Alpha.” Chadrick tense. “Chadrick, Patrice aunt pack is under attack by vampires. Since Elder Natasha cannot be there to protect them, while she is here taking care of Brielle. We need to help them. I need to discuss the matter with you.” While walking over me, to his son and up the stairs to the office.

Chadrick eyes where in conflict. Then as his dad pass by him, he gave me one final look, and went up.

“Elder Natasha. Finish your breakfast. Patrice will lead you to Elder Christian room after.” I look at her and sit at the table again. “Thank you, Luna Adamaris.” She gave me a motherly look. “Please call me Adamaris only.” I roll internally my eyes. Parents are always trying to put mates on their children, is not the first time this happen.

‘Yes, but this time I like him’ Wolf says. If I must roll my eyes again. I am going to start seeing my back.
