The Unforgivable Mate Curse (long story ongoing)

Since the day of the nightmare, I have been fixated on that girl. The witch told the story behind the curse. I understand the reason we need to find her. She also told me she probably is in hiding,” We need to protect her.” She will not be like the same. "We need, but we do not know where she is. Do you remember anything about her, besides being human?” My mind wonders to her sitting on the rock following the dance of the fireflies. "I remember everything, her long black hair, her brown honey eyes, her smell like fresh grass, flowers, the morning mist.” Her eyes did not reveal anything. “That is not much, and her appearance might have changed from the dream to reality. The last child I knew, had silver hair, and grey eyes, so that is not going to help. Do you think you can remember the smell of her if you sense it again? “

I know I can’t find her, but still, the Elders probably know where she is, we will have a meeting with the Elders, trying to find out. “They have been protecting the children for centuries now, and the last children died at by your bloodline. I don’t think they will tell you where she is.”

“We are the best ones to protect her, nobody as the best guard.” Her icy eyes looked at me. “You are wrong at that.” My wolf growls. ‘How dare she say we cannot protect her.’

“The last children that came to this earth went to me one time. I helped her that time, she was a small fragile girl, with silver hair and grey eyes, I could not read her emotions. She almost did not make it because of what she asked me to do. I asked why she told me her death was in one-month time and that girl she helped will be the one saving us all. I believe in her, the only way a cursed child could have gifts, is if the Moon Goddess herself gave it to her. And if the current Moon Goddess did that, this means this child will also have gifts, and her protection. Do you think you can protect better than the Moon Goddess?”  She sighs seeing me not responding.  ‘I never saw the Moon Goddess and I would not have believed it, if not for the stories she told me since I was young.’

“The dream you had was one of the last children's request." She was looking somewhere like remembering. "You gave that dream?” She nodded her head and looked at me again. “I just found a blind spot in the nightmares the cursed witch gave the child, and make a connection to you, to see if your connection could help her live, but it seems the witch still has some sort of power over your family.” I was confused.  “What do you mean?" She said something between her teeth and, "The way she made you her puppet, we need to make your barriers stronger, or you can never meet the cursed child because you will kill her.”

Those last words, you will kill her. ‘No, we would never hurt her.’ My wolf was fighting me. ‘Are you sure? We both got caught by the witch last time!’ He was trying to gain control to say his mind. ‘That was a dream we were not prepared for.' It was hard to reason with him, his protective instinct was making him in need of finding her. 'It’s better if she is under the Elders protection for now, until we get stronger.’ Growl ‘She is ours we can...’ I got angry at him, ‘Stop being a stubborn wolf, are willing to risk hurting her, just because you can’t stay away from her a few years?’ Growl and he starts passing around my head. ‘You better not be screwing around until you find her.’ She was not our mate, but he was getting crazy over her. ‘What makes you say I would do that after everything.’ He spits at me. ‘You know why. Catherina that bi..h always makes you go to her bed, and you keep going.’ I started screaming at him. ‘I told you I don’t remember how that happens, maybe this training will help us with that too.’ She sneers at me. ‘If it helps make that bi..h of us, I will do it.’

She was looking at us waiting for my conversation with my wolf to end. “When can we start training?” She gave a little smile. “Remember that cave, behind the waterfall, you always follow me?” My eyes widen. I was a little boy back then. “You knew that?” She laughs, “I could sense your miles away.” I was intrigued by the old witch that I started following her to see what she could do. “I remember.” She turned to leave. “After the patrolling, come there, and we will start.” I bowed and thanked.  She looked over her shoulder. “Don’t thank me yet, is not going to be easy. Training to protect against the Shadows is not easy, and you will want to give up, but if you genuinely want to help that girl, you will not give up.“ I put my hand in my heart. “I will not give up.”

She raised a brow at that, hoping for more. “Correction, we will not give up.” She then smiled at me. “Glad to see your wolf taking part because we will have to do the training in wolf form also so that all of your minds are protected.” I started walking with her to the door. “How is that different from the mental block we can already do?” She continued walking but was responding to my questions. “Because this is not only blocking, this is shielding your mind to everything, not anyone even mind fairies will be able to pick your mind, not even the nightmares succubus will be able to feed in your dreams, you both will have to power to see, but not being seen.” That was interesting.

I stop remembering something. “One more thing, when you told me that she will be different from my dreams, you told about her exterior aspect, but is there something more?” She stops and looks back at me. “I do not know the gifts she will have, but there is something else.” She seems hesitant to say. “What more do you remember her from your dream?” Everything came to mind. “Her laugh, her reactions to my touch, her sparkling eyes, her being cute, the sound of her voice, the warm of her hands in my fur, everything.” She got closer to me and looked serious at me. “You can’t rely on those anymore, at least not the emotion part of her.”

“Why?” ‘What is wrong with her, what did that witch did?' She continued walking and we started down the stairs to the back door. "The curse is called the Mate Curse why?” I followed thinking. “Because the person that has the curse could never find her mate?” She nods. “And how do you think a person finds a mate?”

“We smell, we touch.” She accepts my answer but, “That is true in the werewolf world. How many werewolves have you seen being rejected by their non-werewolf mates, because although they feel the mate pull, they can’t be with them?" She looks sideways at me. "Some.” “Do you understand why that happens?” She had stopped again opening the door while I passed on it. “Because they kidnaped them, we can’t live without our mate.” Now I was in front of her looking at her closing the door. “You can live, if she rejects you, they all lived. The point here is, that humans are different, they need to fall in love for the bond to be completed, and falling in love, requires you to have feelings for the other person, the curse makes the one unable to feel. They need to have the proper training to function again in this world, must of them died not being able to understand the world and them self's anymore, that is the Elders task, prepare them for the world they will be facing, is not easy and we don't want to be in the way." We continued walking in the back garden. "What can we do?" After a few minutes of walking, she stops near a fountain.  "You will train, and I will gather the elders, not to know where she is but to reassure them that everything is alright, and if in case of help, you will help.” She sits on a bench near the fountain. “How will we know they understand that they will not hide her even more or forever?” I was standing next to her. “When the meeting starts taking place, one Elder will try to pick your mind, and if you are well trained until there, he will get nothing, that will make him agitated. He will think that you are already the puppet of that witch. I will be there to make sure that is not happening.”

“How would you know the Elder will try to probe me and not my father? He is the Alpha, not me?” I was not the Alpha yet. “Because you are the next generation, you are the most dangerous. If the elder sees your father is fine, he will not be checking him up, only you. And we hope, that someday, you can see her again if they approve.”

“Wait, what?” I got surprised and my wolf takes control. “Someday?? I Hope??? I will not be hoping to see my mate, I will see my mate one way or another, we are only doing what you ask witch so we will not harm her, but we will see her.” The growl he made could be heard all around the garden.  “It’s always a pleasure talking to you, but remember, she is not your mate. I am here to help, if you want to be with her, you have to be patient.” He started pacing in front of her. “Then find the cure for that curse, it was your daughter that put that thing one, make her remove it, or I will.” And he let another growl that made the small animals scattered. “And how are supposed to do that, do you know dark magic?” Her eyebrow got up, making my wolf even worse for her doubting him.  “I will find her, eat her bit by bit until she takes that cruse back.” My master was rolling my eyes at me in my head.

“That is the perfect plan, but first you will need to find her, then you will need to get close to her, and is not easy with her minions, then you need to resist her, or you will become like your dream, and she will use you to kill the girl. Do you want that?” He started passing again. “I will never hurt her.” He repeated. She got up and started raising her voice.  “Do you want that to happen again?"  I put my hands in my master's head moving on his hair. "NO.” I felt hurt. “Then give me your master back, and wait, we will find away.” Her voice softened. I looked at her and nod.

He then gave me the mind back, and went to the back curling at a corner, he hated that he could become the one to hurt her. I looked at the witch with a sorrowful look.

“I deal with a lot of angry wolfs in my time and age. Tomorrow training starts. Be ready.” And she got ready to leave.  “I will.”

Another place.

Whispers, "Milady seems we are not the only ones looking for the child” She stops what was doing.  “Do not tell me the Elders already lost this one, that would be amusing. “

Whispers, “He is looking for her." Her face was twisted. "With HE, do you mean that Mutt from the nightmare?”

Whispers “Yes, the Old Witch with him.” She hisses. “Did she find out?”

Whispers, "The wall coven, was found out. We do not have spies in that place anymore” She starts pacing around.  “Weak. They are all weak.”

Whispers, "We still have the rogues." She stops. "If they want my protection, they better work for it. Call that little Mutt of Rogue first, I need to talk with him, and at last call the vampire king. I am starting to get hungry again.” She walks to the back of the tree. Screams.
