The Unforgivable Mate Curse (long story ongoing)

The Realization

Elder Christian P.O.V

Once Brielle heard my name her eyes turned black, she holds on to her head and started screaming. We all look at her in shock, this has never happened before.  Even when the other wake up, they all seem like empty shells at first, but Brielle is responding, and now she is screaming, and we do not know what to do.

Natasha and Silvanie each went on the side of the bed and started doing circles on Brielle back, and chanting to calm her down, I – I just stood there, and the shock of all of it, made remind of the night I took care of Brielle. “She saw it." "What? Christian are you alright?” Silvanie looks at me. “The names, the screams, she saw it all, that is the only explanation why she is responding to my name like that, it made her remind of them.”

They both look at me and the realization hit them, the names I heard her say, this is the proof that she did see the death of those children, in her dreams, and she is recalling it.

Before anyone could speak again, “What is happening here?” a panting Chadrick opens the door. “Brielle recalled one of the nightmares and started screaming," Natasha says to him. "Is that possible?” He looks to all of us. “We do not know! Is the first time a cursed child reacts this way.” Silvanie tells him.

Chadrick went near the bed where a shivering Brielle was holding her knees and crying, eyes completely black. Silvania stood up, and Chadrick took her place.” I am here Brielle is Chadrick, I am here with you.” We all see that her body starts to ease up, her eyes go back to gray, and she leans in Chadrick's arms.  “Brielle," Natasha says in a soft voice. “What did you see?” She blinks her eyes. “Babies, cries, vampires, kill, blood, so much blood.” Chadrick pushes her closer to him. “We are where to protect you, Brielle, no one is coming near you.”

She calms down and the body still not being recovered completely, takes her to sleep. “Chadrick, do you mind staying with her, while we Elders talk?” He looks at us and nod

Once we get of Brielle's room, we decided to go to the Green House again, we stay silent all the way. If it’s true, and she saw the deaths of the cursed children, then she just passed a big traumatic event in her dreams. “This is proof of one of the things that Brielle saw in her dreams, this will help us get to her. “We don’t know how many more people she saw dying in her nightmares. “What do you mean?” Christian turns his attention to Natasha. “We all knew the children, not all of them, but we know what happens to the ones we did not meet. Since the first that Brielle recalls is the one involving Christian, that means those are the ones that touch her the most, the ones that hurt her. Christian, you meet the 3rd and 4th children correct?” “Yes” “Do you remember the age of those children?” “If I am not mistaken the boy that was killed by the vampire as around 6, and Elisa was 10.” Natasha nods her head. “Brielle trains with the pups, maybe that is why those affect her more, I think I know what to do," Silvanie tells. "Please tell." She then gets more comfortable. "We need her to talk. You all know how the other children had difficulty explaining their feelings, since Brielle is like family to me I did some research and also did a course in psychology online, just to try to help her. I found out, that all the children because of the trauma have developed a mental state similar to alexithymia, it's a way for their mind to block the trauma they saw, that is why we can't read their emotions, and they cannot explain them to us.” We all think about it. 

“What do we do now?” Natasha breaks the silence.  “The 1st to start the training with her is me, I am the person she knows best, so I will explain the story, and Natasha doesn't bring Brielle on the first training to the temple, lest keep her regular training with the pups until her body recovers more. Once my training is done she will be better and can start the regular temple training.” “I agree with that." She then looks at Christian her eyes all-knowing. "Christian, I need you to go back to your pack, once my training is done I will call you, and you will start your training. That will give you time to recover, and find the answers for your and Brielle's questions.” He nods his head. “You will need all our help.” “But for now you are a distraction and a place of panic attacks to Brielle. You still have to find the Elders for the ones that are retiring such as yourself, so better to not put yourself at stress.” He mutters. “I understand.” Silvanie takes a deep breath. “My friends, we have a lot of healing to do before she can start her life again. We need to help her find a way to understand feelings again, it will not be 100% a cure, because until the curse is lifted, she will also have this mental block in her emotions.” Natasha looks at Silvanie. “Better talk to the Alpha and let him know of the plan we have since they are a part of all of it. They will need to understand the state Brielle is in because is going to be frustrating to them.”

After the talk Elder Silvanie asked mind linking to talk with Alpha Gabor.

We enter the room that Alpha Gabor is taking care of some papers, Luna Adamaris, Vicktor, and Patrice are there also. “Great them we talk to all of you.” We enter behind her. “Chadrick mind linked and told us that Brielle was awake, but that we cannot see her yet, what is wrong with her?” Luna Adamaris almost shouting the last part, until Alpha Gabor takes her hand and sits her in his lap. “Mom. I know it's hard, but Brielle needs to recover." She looks at him with anger. "She needs her family with her.” “Luna I am deeply sorry, but we need you all to understand that maybe Brielle is different now.” Natasha tries to help Vicktor.  “What do you mean different?” Alpha Gabor eyes looking at the three Elders.

“The curse has a lot of effects on the children, the hardest to deal with is their feelings. They can feel but they lost the ability to understand the feelings, and most of the time they have physical manifestations of their emotions because they cannot understand them.” Elder Silvanie explains. “That means?” Vicktor asks. “You remember Brielle laugh, cry, get angry, irritated, and you could see that happening to her, in her expressions or her words, now she may not be able to deal with those.” “That means my child cannot laugh, or cry?” Luna Adamaris eyes watering. “That is the meaning, she still feels sad or happy, but we think the trauma of the nightmares may have caused a temporary mind block of emotions to try and protect.”

“What did she saw in those nights that could do something like a trauma?" Alpha Gabor asks holding on to his Luna. We look between us. “We are not 100% sure, but when I was with her, she spoke some names, names I recognize from past children.” Elder Christian tells them. “What do you mean past children?” Patrice enters the conversation. “Brielle is not the first cursed children they have being born and dying since the time the curse was put by the witch," Natasha explains. "Because we are Elder and live far more time than normal werewolves, we meet some of the children. Others we heard stories of what happened to them.” Silvanie continues.  “I am the Elder that as most history with the 1st children’s, I meet the 3rd and 4th, Elder Natasha meets the 4th, the others after those until Brielle was born, we found them thanks to the Moon Goddess help, and help them the best we could.” Christian finished.

“I understand that, but what is the relation between you Elders and the names and nightmares?” Vicktor is still trying to understand. “Brielle shouted my name at one point, and the name of the Alpha that was with me when we found the 3rd child. When we found it, the boy was being attacked by vampires and werewolves, and died in the hands of a vampire.” “WHATTTTT?” Luna Adamaris shouted in shock “Brielle…. Brielle, saw that in those nights? Brielle saw a child getting killed?”Alpha Gabor pushed Luna Adamaris closed to him, and she rested her head in him. “How…. How...” Sobs. “SSSSHHHHH Beautiful, Brielle is strong. We will help her." Alpha Gabor tries to comfort her.

Vicktor as his hand on Patrice back, and is doing circles, her face is complete of shock, and her eyes are also watering. “We think that the best thing, for now, is to keep Brielle routines. Elder Christian is leaving to his pack because she enters in panic when she sees him, he will return once Brielle is better. I will be starting a new training to help her recognize her feelings again, and I will need your help. The Moon Goddess gave Brielle 2 gifts, one is to help us, her eye color will change once she has a strong emotion, that will help us understand her feelings. We have to make her talk to us about them, she will not find the words to tell us, I am angry, or I am hungry, or I am happy, you will probably ear her say, fine, ok, not fine, or bad, simples words, we need to make her use comparations to things she sees to help her understand that what she is feeling is like that or this, that will help her to express herself.”

“We will do what you say if it helps Brielle. Right Honey?” Alpha Gabor looks at Luna Adamaris and she nods at him. “I will be leaving before dinner," Christian tells and starts walking to the door.  “Wait, what is the other gift?” Vicktor asks. “Brielle can change her scent," Natasha says. His eyes were of doubt.  "What do you mean?” “We can change into a wolf, Brielle can change her scent from human to wolf. She will have to learn that it will be a way for her to not being recognized by the witch minions.” Alpha Gabor growls. “Our pack is loyal.” Natasha turns her eyes to him. “Yes, I know that. But she spies everywhere, and what happened at Brielle party is always talk, every time someone talks about a human child or girl. They will find out. We must be prepared for any type of attack." Alpha Gabor brimming with confidence. "We have the best warriors on this side of the country.” I smile at him. “Yes, I know a few of them. Still, I would like with the help of Chadrick to train them in light art and how to fight shadows.” “Shadows?” Luna Adamaris looks at us confused.  “The most dangerous minions of the witch can become shadows, not a physical being can touch them, but they can suck the life source of the victims and their souls. The only thing that can hurt them is pure light, some of your warriors have that capability, so we will train them between the pack and the temple. The other will have the proper training for fighting vampires, pureblood ones.”

“I will talk to you and Chadrick later about the best way to train the warriors.” We started the way of leaving to help Elder Christian pack up.
