How's life been for the past two weeks? Not that bad actually. Telling Abby the truth brought me greater relief than I could imagine.
The days weren't entirely smooth or as peaceful, but I avoided a lot of drama. Abby helped me in escaping Daphne and her minions a lot of times. Though the school still refers to me and the mute girl and I still revive hateful comments, it's not all that bad.
Abby and I grew even closer, she took me around on our lecture-free day, and I got to see the city. It was beautiful, mesmerizing masterpieces and buildings. It reminded me of home, and though I still wasn't ready to talk to Leah, I sent her a couple of letters and gave a tangible excuse as to why I couldn't call or FaceTime her.
