I wasn’t sure how long I had been lying there, staring into nothing. It could have been minutes, hours, days. Time didn’t exist here, wherever it was.
The darkness stretched out in every direction, endless and suffocating, yet strangely calm. I didn’t bother moving—I knew better. The first thing I learned when I opened my eyes in this void was that walking didn’t lead anywhere.
The ground wasn’t even ground, just... nothing beneath me, holding me up as if gravity had simply decided it was optional.
