Echo’ heart tightened in her chest and her smile crumbled, as she saw Bo engulfed dearly in Carl’s embrace. She wondered how things have changed so much between them. Last time she had checked, Carl was her boss and someone she truly respected, but this was not what Echo could have imagined ever happening,
Jealousy coursed through her and Echo tried her best to be soft and polite in front of them, whereas, all she wanted to do was punch Carl’s face, or beat the s**t out of someone and she didn’t care whom. It was hard to keep such strong urges in check, but Echo was trying her very best. She did not want to do or say anything that would hurt Bo, or have a wrong impact on their friendship.
