Emma POV
I put on my Neiman Marcus Suede pumps. Smoothing out the sequins on my long-sleeved wrap dress that fell to my upper thighs. The emerald green dress highlighted all of my curves while giving me that flowy goddess look that I loved. My make-up is simple but elegant with black accents around my eyes and a natural lip. Long golden curls fall down resting on the swell of my breasts. Finishing off the look with large silver hoop earrings, I grabbed the black suede clutch that matched my heels and headed out the bedroom door.
Making my way towards the main area to look for Liam I look down the hallway that leads to the elevator. Liam was facing the closed elevator door noticeably trying to straighten up his suit jacket in the reflective metal. I stood there staring for another moment admiring the sexy man in front of me. An all-black Italian suit hugged his every muscle perfectly. He paired it with a simple white button up and no tie leaving the top couple of buttons undone. His hair was slightly gelled to the side even after his many attempts of messing with it. Cleaned shaved face and his hair had the perfect fade on the sides. He looked good, and I mean really good.
I let him squirm nervously another minute or so before clearing my throat at him. He turns around slightly shocked but he composes himself rather quickly until he notices my attire. His jaw dropped straight to the floor and his eyes almost popped out of his head. Perfect just the reaction I wanted, I thought to myself with a victorious giggle.
“Emma you look absolutely ...stunning…” He finally says after picking his jaw back up and walking towards me giving me his hand to walk me to the elevator. Never taking his eyes off of me.
“You don’t look too bad yourself Hercules.” I laugh at him playfully “I never knew such a brute could clean up so well.”
He laughed with me, “Only for the most beautiful reasons.” Giving my hand a light kiss on the knuckles, causing a small blush to spread across my cheeks. How is it that he’s the only one who can call me beautiful and I actually feel like he means it. When most people stare and gawk at me it just feels like all they see are my looks but when Liam does it, it gives me this warm tingly feeling inside. He isn’t just talking about my face or my body but he is talking about me as a person.
Continuing to let him lead me out the elevator after we had reached the main floor, he managed to be a total gentleman and open each door and usher me through every opening. We stepped out into the warm and breezy night where the valet was already off grabbing our car. While Liam had placed a protective hand on my lower back. Hmm, I guess he notices the lingering eyes too. I roll my eyes at the thought of him getting all alpha towards anyone who tries to touch me.
When a sleek black limousine pulls up, I look at Liam confused while he just gives me a mischievous smile. Slightly shrugging his shoulders, he said “I thought it could be fun,” he laughs “plus we can both drink and just enjoy ourselves.” As he guided me to the back door and opened it for me. Gliding in as smoothly as possible, without showing any ass, I slid towards the other side giving him enough room to get in behind me.
I was still in complete shock thinking about what Liam said. Ever since my parent’s accident I have been completely against drinking and driving. Even if I have just one drink, I refuse to chance it. Just this simple act though made me appreciate Liam’s kindness and thoughtfulness on a whole new level.
We sat in a comfortable silence staring out the window at the beautiful light of the city, until we reached L'Arcangelo. A place for the high society to rub elbows and flash their money at one another. It always made me sick to see the arrogance of some of these people but oh god was the food to die for. Plus, on another note, the table I had reserved overlooks the city and the night club (La Cabala) that is across the street. Which so happens to be the nightclub that Mr. Dante Palazzolo likes to be at mostly every night drinking.
I was elegantly guided to my seat and pushed in when our hostess walked off after telling us that our server will be with us shortly. I refused a menu and kept a watchful eye on the club looking for a particular person’s arrival. I know I should be paying attention to Liam but this job is important and I can’t get distracted, no matter how sexy the distraction is. He doesn’t seem to bothered by it though because he’s too overwhelmed by the menu in front of him that’s all written in Italian.
Noticing his slight frustrated covered by his happy go lucky attitude he finally pops his head over the menu to look at me, “So what would you suggest?” He asks in a sweet yet sarcastic tone.
“How good are you with surprises?” I ask mischievously.
He raises an eyebrow at me with a smirk on his lips, daring me to continue. “Very good, why?”
“I’ll order for us then.” and before he could argue a thin man with dark chocolate hair comes up to our table.
“Buonasera, mi chiamo Mateo, stasera sarò il tuo server. Posso iniziare con un drink?” {Good evening, my name is Mateo, tonight I will be your server. May I start with a drink?}
“Sì, in realtà avremo una bottiglia di Sangiovese ed entrambi vorremmo iniziare con un'insalata caprese ciascuno, quindi per il piatto principale Tagliatelle al ragù alla Bolognese per favore.” Not taking my eyes off the server but seeing the complete astonishment on Liam’s face in the corner of my eye. {Yes, we will actually have a bottle of Sangiovese and we both would like to start with a Caprese salad each, so for the main course Tagliatelle al ragù alla Bolognese please.}
“Molto brava signora.” Mateo says kindly before turning around to go retrieve us our wine that I requested. {Very good ma'am.}
Bringing my attention back to Liam, his face is still frozen in amazement before he shakes his head laughing, “When will that stop being the sexiest thing I’ve ever heard?” Sounding more rhetorical but I wanted to mess with him a little.
“For now.” I state confidently while looking him in the eyes and taking a light sip of water. His eyes widen as his pupils dilated slightly. Letting my eyes wonder out the window again to recognize a large black hummer pulling up to the club. Watching as Dante stepped out and headed into the crowded building. Now that I know he’s right where I need him, I can appreciate my dinner.
…..
During the course of the meal Liam and I’s conversation never stopped. We talked, laughed and enjoyed each other’s company easily. Telling stories about our lives and dreams. I had to come up with some lies to cover my ass but they came together easily. I really wasn’t lying when I said I was a good photographer. At one point in my life I debated on going professional but I was already ‘tied’ up in another occupation.
I told him everything about Joe and I, like how we’ve been best friends ever since James came around, how much trouble we like to get into, and just how great of a person she is.
Before we knew it the whole bottle of wine was gone and all the food was devoured. When the waiter came back for our plates and to drop off the check, he stopped me cold in my tracks when he asked “Bella coppia! Da quanto tempo state insieme?” {Beautiful couple! How long have you two been together?}
Almost spitting out what was left of my wine in surprise, my eyes shot to look at liam who was thoroughly confused. I look back at the server shaking my head “No, non siamo una coppia.” As I reach for my card in my purse I look up to see Liam handing him cash. Easily $400 which is more than enough for the bill and tip.
“Grazie.” Liam says in his best accent and smiles at the waiter kindly. The server thanked us both and walked away from the table quickly with the biggest smile on his face.
After he is out of ear shot I turn and glare at Liam. “You know you didn’t need to do that. I can pay for myself.” I say annoyed. I don’t need to owe anyone anything, ever.
“Em I know, but it’s the least I can do for bombarding you on this trip and for you being such great company.” He shrugs with smug grin on his face. “Let me buy the beautiful lady dinner, please?”
I didn’t let up on my glare but his words made my heart tingle. The fact that he didn’t want to flash his money in front of me, made me confirm that he wasn’t some rich stuck up jerk.
Letting him win this one, we stood up and walk out towards the club. Of course I already called ahead to get our names on the list. So we just walk straight in with no problems.
The music was loud and the DJ that night wasn’t letting up. Filling the large bar/dance floor with a mixture of pop and rap. The lights were dim making the party lights pop and flash across the room.
I walk ahead and lead Liam to our private vip lounge. I’ve always loved the bar and club scene but it’s nice to have your own little oasis to come back to if needed.
Ever sense we walked in my eyes were scanning the room for one particular person. I couldn’t find him until we walked past a couple of the VIP rooms, he was sitting in the center of the couch with a women on each side of him and another standing behind the couch rubbing his neck.
I roll my eyes in disgust, he’s a married man with a family but he sits here in a club drinking his liver to death and jumping any pair of legs that walks through the door.
After making it to our own private room I take a seat next to Liam. I don’t know if it’s the wine or what but I sit facing him and my legs tucked under me. He is pretty good looking and he knows it. Just the way he sits with confidence and class. One arm rested on the back of the couch towards me. His sweet lips lifted into a grin.
“Like what you see?” He smugly looks at me. I roll my eyes at him even though he’s right; I really like what I see.
“You wish.” I laugh it off knowing that I was too close to crossing the line but not moving my body away from him.
He asks “What’s your poison?” As he waves a waitress over to our room but doesn’t take his eyes off me.
“Hmm surprise me.” I wink at him. Let’s see what he picks for me, that’ll determine if he’s been paying attention.
Before the waitress even introduced herself he was already rattling off the order, “Can we get four shots of tequila and two beers of whatever is on tap and keep the beers coming.” He says with a smirk; I guess he passed this round.
Without the waitress missing a beat she walks off in the direction to get our order. “So you know I’m a beer girl huh?” I ask him slyly.
“Yes well, one I could tell that you weren’t a snotty priss; you are a girl who can hold her own. And two I remember your go to at the bar the other night was beer.”
“Smart man, most guys get intimidated by girls who drink beer and take shots.” Giving him my sweetest eyes playfully
“Oh no, I know better than to underestimate a girl who can down shots like water.” He laughs while the waitress reappears quickly with our drinks setting them down on the table in front of us.
Giving him my most dazzling smiles I ask “Bottoms Up?” I raise the first shot up in the air before he joined me and we threw both of them back. I knew I wasn’t going to get drunk off of this because I’ve been drinking far too long. The most it’ll get me is buzzed but Liam doesn’t have to know that.
Grabbing his hand I stood up and pulled him off the couch. Dragging him to the dance floor as ‘Watermelon Sugar’ by Harry Styles played through the speakers. Making it to a spot that is almost central but just enough off to the side to get a full view of my next target.
Secretly staring at him, I notice his vulnerability with attractive women. The way he leaves himself unprotected and exposed due to too much alcohol. The men that are still working for him seem fed up with him as well.
Putting the final touches on my plan in my head I decide that I got everything I need. I can’t wait to let it all play out because for this one I’m going to have some fun.
Until then I’m going to enjoy my very attractive company and hopefully dance the night away.
.....
By the time we are leaving the club Liam and I are stumbling and laughing towards the limo. Throughout the night we found our own inside jokes and making up games.
We would go from interacting with each other all playful and fun to intimate and sexy in seconds; just looking at us you would have thought that we had been together for years.
The laughter still hadn’t died down as we stepped on the elevator the electricity between us became just a little too much to handle. I could feel the rise and fall of his chest. The way his eyes studied my every move and breath.
We stood on completely opposite sides while we rested our weight against the railing. Not being able to stand the distance anymore I strut up to him and gently place my hands on his neck sliding them down to his suit jacket. I grabbed them and pulled him down to my level, placing a passionate kiss on his plump lips. Leaving him shocked.
I’ve been thinking about doing that to him all night and as I did he relaxed and his arms snaked around my waist pulling me in closer. My hands finding the back of his neck and gently tugging at his hair wanting more.
Before I knew it he had turned us around, lifted me up and pushed me against the wall. Causing me to gasp into his mouth giving his tongue access to mine. We fought for dominance because I wasn’t the type of girl to give up too quickly before he won.
Rubbing my exposed thigh all the way up to my but I moaned into his mouth until he pulled away and started kissing and biting my neck down to my exposed chest. I couldn’t stop the words that came out in a lustful sigh, “Oh Liam...” When I felt his bulge in his pants pressing into my inner thigh.
Each touch left small sparks dancing across my skin making my core curl in excitement. His lips tasted so good that I couldn't get my brain to work long enough to realize what I was doing. Until the bell to the elevator brought me back to reality.
I pulled back from Liam leaving him a little confused and breathless. Leaning my head back against the wall I finally pull myself up and wiggle out of liams embrace. He puts me down on my feet but leaves me trapped with his hands placed on both sides of where I stand.
“Emma...” he starts to say before I cut him off.
“Liam don't ok?” I say knowing what he was going to say by looking straight into his eyes. He frowns quickly before recovering himself.
“All I wanted to say was thank you for making me the luckiest man out tonight. I got to spend my whole night with the most beautiful, fun, and bright girl Ive ever met.” He says as he kisses my cheek sweetly.
“Oh, well thank you for making all the girls jealous of me tonight. It felt like I was hanging out with a super star.” I smirk back at he making him drop his hands from the wall and brush his hair back laughing. We were bombarded by so many men and women throughout the night recognizing Liam from his fights in Europe. He kept apologizing but I didn’t want to disappoint his fans.
Standing on my tippy toes I lean into him again as I place my right hand on his cheek and place a deep but simple kiss on his lips. “Goodnight Hercules.” I whisper seductively before turning around and swaying my hips heading into the pent house. Walking straight towards my room and closing the door behind me before I press the back of my head into the door.
I think it’s official, I caught feelings that I’m not suppose to. Letting out a big huff I think to myself, What the hell am I suppose to do now?
