Chapter 5

457 Words
Alex's POV I couldn't sleep thanks to that damn prophecy being stuck in my mind, so I decided to do some research while everyone was asleep. I tried researching the prophecy online but a lot of it was just myths like mom said so I decided to go to the library on the ground floor. I know your probably thinking why do they have a library but it's simple really, we not only store human books that you can find in any library, but we also have supernatural books that would be dangerous in the hands of humans, so we store it in pack lands. The library not only has books about werewolves but vampires, witches, and even other supernatural creatures who have gone extinct like Kitsunes. I spent hours in the library going over every book I could find, and I still found nothing, I was being to get very frustrated until I remembered my dad kept more books in office. With the new hope I had I got up and ran all the way to his office making sure not to wake anyone thankfully I made it without disturbing anyone. I checked the knob to see if it was locked praying to the moon goddess it wasn't, she must have heard me because it wasn't, and I was able to walk right and being my search again. I looked at the clock on the wall and it read 4:30am which meant dad would be up soon to go on patrol and would be back around 7am so that gave me roughly two and a half hours to find what I'm looking for. After what felt like an eternity but was only ten minutes, I found what I was searching for although I was surprised it wasn't what I expected. Instead of it being a book about werewolf history it was about witches which is explainable I guess since mom is a witch but why would dad have this book in his office? I read through until I found it, "A hybrid would be born with immense power, power that would be shared with their mate and together they would be destined to save the supernatural community. The hybrid and their mate are identified by a half moon birthmark bringing the two halves together to make a whole. The twos fates are intertwined." When I finished reading so many emotions flew through me the most prominent being anger. I can't believe they lied to me for 22 years! 30 mintues later I went back to my room after returning the book and took a shower. Once I finished, I packed a bag and headed downstairs I couldn't stop wondering what else they lied to me about.
