A Rekindled Love

As Geia was heartbroken, she confides with Nicky as a big brother. He even told her not to cry and she agreed. She really cried hard by the way. They talked everyday. Geia is very happy but skeptical also because Nick has a wife already. One day Nick texted her if he could court her. Geia was in awe because she always liked him. What about her wife? Geia was blinded by the feeling and in a few weeks they were in a relationship. Nicky told her that he was leaving his wife before he decided to court her. Geia was happy because of that. She never wants to ruin a relationship. Nicky assured it was not her fault because their relationship was already on the rocks before she came. Geia never expected that someone she likes felt the same way for her. Their relationship started as a long distance because Geia started to work in the city. The challenge is that Nicky is still with his wife despite the relationship. He assured her and even asked for a cool off to think things over. Luckily after some time they got it seriously and Nick was officially separated from his ex-wife. It wasn't an easy thing though. They would meet like once a month or worse after three months or so. A lot of girls have always been interested in Nicky. Geia is always worried that he would leave her. Their relationship continued and it lasted for years. Until then Nicky filed for annulment and it was really a long process. He tried again and this pandemic came. Geia never met his family because of that and Nicky was protecting her from the fact that they can be both sued if her ex-wife is willing to do it. It was always hard for Geia. It's a lot to take. Nick met her mother and other family members but still skeptical if someone knew him. She always prayed that his ex will forgive them and Nicky is always nice with his ex therefore stirring jealousy in Geia. Nick explained he's being nice so that the annulment will run smoothly. Geia waited and waited and it already takes years from them. Still Geia waited. Waited to be affirmed by the family when the right time comes.
