Chapter 3

A knock on the door interupted them, Lena stood straight, she moves her hand and the door open. The person standing their bowed before he speak.

"My Queen...your room have already been moved. The concubines are now waiting for you." Sky's eyes widened and she slowly turned her head at Lena who is now looking at her too. All this time! She's talking to the queen and all this time! Her mate! Is the queen!

Chapter 5

SKY

"So? How did it go?" Audrey asked her once she was back into her own room again.

"I...i...met them and...um..they were nice." She said still feeling like she's out of the place. Everything felt... Surreal." She heard Audrey chuckled, she then held her hand and pulled her with her, she made her seat in the bed and then she started to comb her hair.

"I know that everything felt surreal. I mean i know how you feel, it's like one day, you're just a cage bird and then the next day you're a princess. A lot of people would be very jealous of you." Jealous? Is her new life worth of having someone be jealous of her? Well they can take her place if they want. She's not ready for this, she doesn't want this.

"What's the matter? What's with that face?" Audrey asked looking at her face. She bit her lower lip.

"I...i think i don't want this." She admitted, Audrey shakes her head and made a clicking sound with her tongue, she continue to brush her hair.

"You mean you're not ready yet. I know it's hard, but you'll get used to it." Sky stared at herself in the mirror. She almost didn't recognize herself. Wearing a white floral dress, looking fresh and having someone to brush her hair.

"How long have you been in here?" She asked Audrey.

"I've been here for a long long time." She bit her lower lip.

"What was your job here?" Audrey chuckled, she placed down the brush and then she started to braids Sky's hair.

"I'm a concubine, basically one of the Queen and the Regents wife. I represent the family of Voathniels. One of the pure blood families." A wife? So her mates has a wife already? Should she feel jealous? Her wolf growls, but she hush her. It's not right of her to be jealous, she has no claim to her mates yet.

"Why do you need to marry the queen?"

"I need to marry her because i will represent the loyalty of my family to her, and if we ever had a child then that's even better. My child would be next head of my family." Sky tilted her head.

"Your family culture is very complex. Why do you need to marry the queen to prove your loyalty?" Audrey shrug.

"We don't know why. We were just raised to believe that it is our greatest glory. Our greatest contribution to the family." She answered. They fell in silence for a minute until they were interupted by a knock on the door.

"Please come in." Audrey said, the door opened and a man wearing a grey royal clothe entered the room, he has a cold silver eyes. His hair was shoulder lenght tied into a half bun, he has a sword on his side and the edge of it's hilt was designed as a Raven's head who's eyes were gleaming red. And speaking of raven, he has one on his shoulder. Audrey quickly stood up and bowed.

"Lord Isaac. What brought you here." Audrey asked him, Sky also stood up and bowed, Lord Isaac did the same before he held her hand and kissed it, his lips linger their for a moment and his eyes never left her.

"I came here to give a welcoming gift for Princess Sky." He said and as soon as he said that, several maids have entered the room while carrying gifts.

"I have heard from my cousin that you loves chocolate. So i have brought you the finest chocolates in our kingdom." He said, and then a maid gave him a box, he opened it and present it to her. Inside it was two dozen of small brown things.

"Is this the chocolate?" She asked him. He nods his head, she then pick one and ate it. And the taste exploded into her mouth. Her cheeks colored in excitement!

"It melts in the tongue and the taste is hard to wash. But let me warn you princess. Too much of it could hurt you." He close the box and gave it to her.

"Thank you sir." She said smilling at him. He gave her a smile that shows his white teeths and Sky couldn't help but admit that he is handsome.

"Well, it's nice to meet you princess Sky. I look forward to working with you in the future." He said before bowed and left.

"That is Lord Isaac Raevern. Cousin of Regent Catherine. He is a smart man and he excels at war strategy, he was know as the Raven too. He has the ability to turn into a big black bird." Audrey explained to her.

"Anyways, you should rest now. Tomorrow would be another long day. You will be introduced to the other concubines." She watches as Audrey puts the brush in the drawer, she then bowed and left the room. And once again she was left alone in the room to think...

The bed is comfortable, the place is warm but it's lonely. She misses her friends, Ebony and Tasha. She wonders how they are doing, are they in a good health? Specialy Tasha, oh she wish that she wouldn't get into any trouble again.

Sky eyes slowly felt heavy, and soon she fell asleep and only darkness was there to greet her.

The next morning Sky woke up early, the maids have helped her to prepare for the whole morning, they even bathe her and she doesn't like the way they touch her. Their hands were too heavy, she let small growls to escape her lips whenever they pull her hair the wrong way.

After the torturous preparation she was led to the great hall of the harem palace. And then there she saw fifteen girls, of different colors yet all are beautiful.

"Everyone rise up." It was the lady at the head of the table who spoke and all the girl rise up and bowed to her, she felt shy with all of their attention. Then the woman at the head of the table approaches her, she has a dark skin and black hair, she was tall and slender, her eyes were burning red.

"Princess Sky. I'am lady Denaya Erevyn. First concubine of the queen and i'am at your service." Soraya gave her a gentle smile and Sky knew that Soraya has a gentle soul.

"Let me introduce to you everyone. This is Diane my sister, the second concubine of the queen." Soraya pointed her the woman with pale skin and icy blue eyes. She gave Sky a curt bow and smile.

"Next to her is Giana and Hazelyn." Sky smiled at the two, Giana has a bright red hair while Hazelyn has a hazel colored hair that matches the freckles on her face.

"And that is Mabella, Dione, and Odette." Sky smiled at them but Dione and Mabella just rolled their eyes at her, she quickly felt hurt, but ignored them

"And next to them is Adriana, Noel,and Jessa" Sky bit her lower lips when the three didn't even acknowledge, she could feel that they are irritated at her.

"And last but not the least Elisa,Brinna, Sophia, and Audrey." Elisa was the same, she pretended to look at her nails while the other three smiled at her. Denaya then lean a little closer to her

"Ignore the others, they weren't just in the mood." Soraya squeez her shoulder before she ushered her to sit down.

"Does she need to sit with us? A dog should be eating on the floor." Jessa said with a sneer, Sky visibly flinches when Jessa said that.

"Then go ahead and eat on the floor. Since you like to bark so much." Everyone stared at the woman who entered the room. It was lady Soraya, she pulled the chair next to Sky and sat down their.

"I'm sorry i'm late for breakfast." She said looking at her and then at Lady Denaya.

"It's fine. Now girls stop being mean to the princess, we will respect her the way we respect the queen and each other." Lady Denaya said sternly, then they heard Soraya scoff.

"Good luck with that. This bitches doesn't know what the word respect means." Sky stared at Soraya as she spoke, she's a very a confident woman.

"Dogs shouldn't be respected." Jessa said and Soraya nods her head.

"Yes i agree, that's why no one respects you here. You kept on barking like a b***h who has her tail between her legs. Your barks are worst than your bite." Sky could feel the tension in the air.

"I....i think we shouldn't fight." She finally said.

"Why would i listen to you?" Jessa gave her a glare, Soraya leans againts the table.

"Because she's the princess. If i were you i would just shut my mouth before the queen cuts your tongue for disrespecting the princess." That seems to shut Jessa's mouth, she stood up and left the great hall, her face is bright red. Soraya then stared at her and wink making her blush.

"Um....thank you." She said to her, Denaya chuckled.

"It's not for free princess." Sky got confused when lady Denaya said that and wonders what she mean.

Chapter 6

LENA

Lena sat on her chair infront of her desk, she picks up the plume and dip in on the ink and for hundred times of that day, she had signed another paper. It was about a village asking for another cart of grain because they have had a shortage. Lena shakes her head, her back is going numb for sitting allday at the office reading compliants and request that are all the same. She massage the bridge of her nose.

She suddenly looks up when the door of her office burst open, she couldn't help but roll her eyes heavenward when she saw her little sister...her not so little sister anymore.

"Crystal, how many times do i have to tell you to knock thrice before you enter my office." She said with a stern voice. Crystal was no longer a child, she's a fully grown woman now, just a few inches taller than her, her white hair is now cut short just above her shoulder and she nows wear a silver armor with a head of a wolf carve on it's front. She's in the northern border guarding the territory with the werewolves.

"My bad, i completely forgot that." She said with a bashful smile making her sister smile too.

"Welcome back little sister." She stood and open her arms welcoming Crystal in a warm hug, even though Crystal is no longer a child, she still often treat her as one.

"I have missed you dearly sister. How are you? News have traveled to north quickly. Is it true that Sky is back?" She chuckled, she pulled away from the hug and pointed the sofa.

"Why don't you take a seat first, and then we will talk."

SKY

Sky was sitting at a couch in the lounge. She could see the large garden outside, where few of the concubines gather together talking, their eyebrows furrowed and their cheeks a blushing in frustration.

"Ignore them." She looks up to see Odette smiling down at her.

"They were never a fan of new comers, for them everything is a competition." Odette then gave Sky a colorful bracelet making her smile.

"Thank you." She said quickly wearing it, it was a perfect fit.

"It is a welcome gift for you. We are happy to welcome you princess." She was touched by the kindness that Odette have shown her.
