Chapter 4: Anonymous Sender

“Who dares to barge into my office like that?”Logan thundered, raising his head from the book he was reading.
“Sorry sir, I told her you didn't want to see her but she didn't listen” Logan’s secretary replied as she held her breath awaiting Logan's response.
“You can leave” Logan waved his hand at his secretary.
“You've not been picking up my calls and replying to my texts, why Logan? Was it because of that trivial thing with no authenticity that you're being cold towards your woman?”Khloe crossed her arms around her chest as she strode towards Logan's table.
“If you have nothing else to talk about you can leave” Logan replied, his knuckles turning white as he opened his laptop.
“Well before I leave, why don't we talk about this?”Khloe took the remote and turned on the TV.
“Reporting live from the biggest entertainment firm in California, the Usher's entertainment firm. An accident happened during a wirework shoot which almost led to a casualty with the victim being the recently wedded bride of the Usher family, Mrs Levi Ashley. She was saved by her husband, Chairman Levi, who happened to have stopped by at his entertainment firm” the reporter reported after which footage from the scene started displaying on screen.
“As you can see the Levi on screen is wearing a turtle neck and the reporting is live which hasn't even been up to ten minutes. And secondly, to come from the Usher's firm to the Usher's headquarters by driving will take at least thirty minutes” Khloe said with her eyes glued to Logan's face.
“But the Levi Usher I know, who has been in his office since is wearing a blazer suit, how come? What is going on? The young man on screen looks exactly like you Levi” Khloe asked, walking to and fro. Her finger stabbed at the TV then swung back to Logan's chest.
“He is my older twin brother, the real Levi Usher, the man whom you've always loved since you were a teenager” Logan replied, his voice flat, as he twirled a pen around his fingers.
“She really is something to deal with,” Logan thought as he continued twirling his pen.
“Wait let me get something straight, you're Levi's twin then how come the world doesn't know of you?”Khloe argued, stepping back in shock.
“That’s all you need to know, and if you don't mind I would like you to leave so I can go back to work” Logan replied flatly as he opened his laptop.
Khloe’s lips curled upward as she left for the door.
Logan slammed his laptop shut. He hastily picked up his phone across the table immediately after Khloe left.
“Gezz! Why isn't he picking up his call?”Logan fumed, pacing to and fro in his office.
“Is Ashley alright? Of course, she can't be after falling from that high distance. She certainly can't be,” Logan hissed. Running his hand through his hair while exhaling exasperatedly.
“The most frustrating thing is I can't go out now in order not to complicate things more. I just pray I don't die of panic while waiting for him to call me back,” Logan thought. slumping back in his seat weakly.
Logan kept scrolling through Ashley's i********: page as her fans kept wishing her a quick recovery and sending flowers and gifts to her agency to wish her happy birthday and a quick recovery.

“What do you mean doctor?”Levi asked, grabbing the collar of the doctor's lab coat.
“Calm down Mr Levi, I said Your wife needs to undergo surgery because her spleen was ruptured which led to a lot of blood loss. And she also has internal injuries. So, she needs a lot of blood,” the doctor explained again.
“Then get blood for her, find a donor, money isn't the problem” Levi yelled, stretching out his hand to the lab section.
“That's where the problem lies Mr Levi, she tested positive through an antibody screening. Her blood type is E which belongs to the Rh blood group and is rare…” the doctor paused as the chilling aura from Levi dominated the atmosphere.
“Her blood type has such a rare set of antigens and it's not something we would get right away” the doctor exhaled sharply.
“Doctor, just do anything to save her please, I'm begging you” Levi clasped both his hands around that of the doctor.
“Where are her family members? I would like everyone in her family to get a blood test to find a compatible donor” the doctor asked.
“She has no family member,” Levi replied with his head down.
“Then we have to continue searching for a compatible donor but she really needs surgery urgently and we don't have time on our side” the doctor replied, as he heaved a sigh.
“And also Mr Levi you need to have your wounds treated” the doctor added.
“I'm fine doctor, focus on my wife" Levi replied as he went to the window to get fresh air.
“Boss something happened” One of Levi's subordinates’ boots skidded on the sterile floor as he came to a halt.
Levi didn't turn“What is it? This is not the right time to tell me anything. My head is spinning right now, we'll talk later, you're dismissed.”
“Sir Elena committed suicide in detention” Levi’s subordinate relayed.
“What! How come?”Levi asked, finally turning to see who was talking to him.
“She snatched the knife an officer was using and stabbed herself to death” Levi's subordinate repeated, his head still bowed in reverence.
“Does she have any family members living here in California? If you get hold of them, text me and I'll tell you where you'll meet me, Stone,” Levi said. His fingers flickering in dismissal.
“She is an orphan and her only brother has mysteriously disappeared after she committed suicide” Stone relayed to Levi.
“There really is more to this than meets the eye. You know what to do right?” Levi asked, turning back to the window.
“Yes sir” Stone bowed his head as he scurried away.
A stretcher was pushed out of the intensive care unit into the operating room with the trauma surgeon and other medical personnel behind.
“Doctor, has a donor been found?”Levi asked, rushing towards the doctor. His eyes were welling with hope.
“Yes Mr Levi and we're about to commence surgery” the doctor replied with a wide smile on his face.
“Who was it, doctor?”Levi asked happily.
“He is an anonymous donor but the person sent this” the doctor handed over a brown envelope to Levi and walked into the operating room.
