@VIDYASAJITH Nandini's POV.  My husband, Manik Malhotra and I had a typical indian arranged marriage. Saw each other's profile on a matrimony site, liked each other and are now happily married. So you might wonder where is the romance! Well it wasn't a typical romantic story but yet it was romantic in an amusing way. So here goes… When he came to see me,he jumped at the instant when my father suggested that we both can talk to each other alone. We spoke, it went smooth. He went back to the living room to join my parents and his brother in law (with whom he had come to see me). I also went there, with a smile and joined everyone in the living room. I could sense that he was least bothered about the conversation and was just looking at me. Suddenly he asked my father, “can I please talk to her again?” My father was like.. oh okay..! Everyone was a little confused… is there any issue?? We went to our balcony and spoke again, nothing in particular but just having a good time. I couldn't help smiling in my mind thinking, god knows what my family must be wondering. When we went back again to the living room, everyone was looking at us like we were some murder suspects. My sister was staring at me and I knew what she was asking in her mind… “what are you both talking so much”!! When I thought this went good and its over, then comes another bomb - he wanted to talk to me just before they leave… 3rd time :D By this time everyone knew that we really liked each other, atleast there was no doubt whatsoever from my husband's side. I was really amused and impressed by the guts he showed coz its really embarrassing in an arranged marriage set up when you know that your family members are just pretending to small talk but in reality all their eyes are on you. During our courtship time before marriage when I asked him… what had got on him that day, he was like.. “you dont know.. but the moment I saw your pic in the site I was head over heels in love with you. And when I spoke to you… I knew you were the one! I just wanted to talk to you forever. I was not sure if you would like me… so I just didn't want the moment to end”. After the 3rd time when he requested to talk to me, he realised that if he doesn't leave the place now, he might now be dragged out of the house by my father. So sense prevailed and he left with a heavy heart! I just couldn't stop laughing and even now almost 4 years after our marriage, we still laugh about it. And touch wood… the romance still continues :D
