The old man who purchased the indian girl lead her to the carriage. He helped her get in and followed after her. He took a seat in front of her "so whatcha name eh?" He asked

"Priyanka" the girl replied after a moment of silence "good me name's suleyman" he told her "sool-e-maan" he even pronounced it because most of the time people pronounce his name incorrectly and it annoys him alot

Priyanka started looking for her chances to escape but after she saw the guards surrounding the carriage from the little window she decided to wait and make a plan once she reached the castle

She shut her eyes and lean back into the comfortable cushions that were placed on the seat she was occupying

After a while the carriage stopped suleyman got out he then helped Priyanka as well, being the gentleman he was

Priyanka finally got out and gasped in shock, she covered her mouth with her hand at the sight infront of her

Infront of her was a glamorous castle, it's roof seemingly had a contest with the sky, they were tall and the castle was bigger than the whole city she grew up in but none of them was as shocking as the fact that the castle was made of gold

She was pulled out of her trance when suleyman grabbed her arm and roughly dragged her inside. She let him for the time being, Priyanka was thinking about escape for she was girl who has seen freedom, she can't stay in a palace not as a slave atleast

Indeed she was smart for a 17 years old. She knew that she had to play her cards right she would not let any spotlight on her and before the prince can even see her she'd be out and free

"The most important thing you need to know before you enter is that from now on you are prince osman's property, you will be groomed here to the prince likings and if you disobeyed him beware the punishment would not be easy. You are now the part of the royal harem"

After saying that he quickly walked away asking her to follow him. He arrived at the entrance where the guards opened the gates for them

Suleyman then lead her through some other doors before finally he showed her the harem where she'd be staying. After showing her the room he left her with other concubines

"Salam" said a girl ,she was pretty with brown hair and dark brown eyes "you must be afraid? Come sit with us, by the way my name is Ayese "(ayi-shey)"

She was given a room to share with other concubines. "Wait why do the prince need so many slaves" she asked one of the girl after she say down. The girl smiled sadly "to fulfill his and his brothers needs" she answered softly

"What needs?" Priyanka asked clueless "oh you will find soon enough... By the way my name is Helen and yours" answered another girl who was sitting inside her made up bed asked the girl

She was pretty Priyanka thought, her hair were coal black and her eyes were emerald green making her caramel dark skin look even more enchanting "Priyanka" she told her and suddenly felt a liking towards the girl

"Well since your new I'll tell you all the rules so listen carefully" and once Helen had Priyanka's attention she began "as you know we are a part of princes harem therefore we are princes property ,both of them can give order to us and if disobeyed there are punishments .... Severe punishments . So in the day we do normal chores like cooking and cleaning but at night we get summoned at the prince chamber and there we do stuff for them " she said serenely Priyanka gulped " it's really a harem so the chances of being chosen today are low "Helen tried to lift Priyanka's mood

She was glad that she was a part of harem although she was warned by the merchant who sold her that the slaves who became part of a harem have the worst fate. But she wasn't planning on staying she was going to escape, Tonight!

So with that thought she got up and went to her bed pretending to be asleep after some hours when she was sure that the other two girls were asleep she sneaked out

She closed the door and wandered in the castle hiding from the guards .she felt as if all of this was a dream she was still wearing the red skirt and red silk cloth while roaming in the magnificent castle the sounds of her footsteps echoing but got mixed with the guard who were also roaming the corridors

Suddenly she stumbled upon a large door and curiosity got the best of her as she quietly opened the door to make sure that the guards sitting at the end of the corridor do not wake up

She went inside sneakily to what looked like a grand library she was too engorsed in appreciating the library that she didn't noticed that someone was standing behind her, not until the person cleared their throat did she turned around startled

She noticed that the person was wearing torn clothes so she thought of him as another slave here, she decided to intimidate him and threaten him to help her escape but before she could say anything the person asked "what are you doing here" in a stern voice

She looked up at the strangers face and was pleasantly surprised to see a handsome man with emerald green eyes ,a slight beard and a perfect jawline staring "reading obviously"

she replied with confidence as if there was nothing wrong with what she was doing and she wasn't planning to escape "who allowed you to read here in prince's Library?" Asked the stranger "I was allowed by uh uhh... prince!"she lied quickly

She then took slow steps towards him and touched his chin slightly "but what are you doing here" she asked him slyly she saw his eyes lit up in amusement "I was cleaning ?" he answered and it sounded more like a question to Priyanka and she thought maybe he was doing the same thing as her

"Hmm so cleaning or ... escaping?"she asked "wallahi I was not !" answered the stranger looking confused Priyanka immediately realized her mistake, she shouldn't have asked him that "I was kidding I know you were not hahaha" she gave an awkward laugh

The stranger raised his brows and suddenly cornered Priyanka between a wall and himself "but you were trying to escape ,were you not !! don't lie I know the truth" he said the last part quickly and then he started sniffing Priyanka's jawline and slowly his nose trailed down lower and lower and he stopped just between he collar bones

"Rose and sandalwood mmhm" Priyanka tried to push him away but he grabbed her waist and looked straight in her eyes " go back to the harem before someone see you trust me these people will punish you if they saw you outside of your bed at this time" he then pushed Priyanka towards the door

Priyanka immediately ran in the direction of the door to get away from him but before she could leave she heard him yelling "don't even try to go anywhere other than harem you won't make it outside because I will be keeping my eyes on you

Her hopes faded as quickly as it had come and she knew that she had made a mistake she wouldn't put it past him to snitch on her so she nodded her head and made her way back to the door

"I would appreciate if you would not tell anyone about our encounter"and left she wanted to continue her plan but she saw the man following her to the harem so she decided to wait for tomorrow night

Laying on the bed her thoughts drifted towards her sister Parvati and she felt tears coming out of her eyes her heart was aching remembering the life that was taken away from her but she wiped her tears and decided to bury her memories for a while and drifted off to a sleep full of nightmares

She was roughly shaken awake the next morning by an unfamiliar man who was wearing a weird trouser which was filled with air reminding her of a pot with a large bottom she used to make back home with clay

He threw some cloths on her like the one she was wearing but in a black color and a little changes "hurry up before the sultana wakes up " he said while giving her space to change

"Who is sultana" she asked "the prince's mother now come" he pulled her out of the room "the sultana is probably the most powerful woman in this world she is not some one to be messed with" he told her while walking down the corridor

He leads her to the kitchen "bring these trays the dining table and serve the royal family their breakfast" he ordered pointing towards some trays that were resting on the kitchen counter

She bought a tray of some weird looking sweets in the dining room and set them down on the table suddenly a tall and handsome man entered the room and she saw everyone in the bowed their head and reluctantly did the same but then she saw the man from last night enter as well she was about to say hi to him when he sat in the chair that was for the royal family

"Welcome prince osman and prince Wahab" said one the slave and bowed before the young men and Priyanka realized that last night it was the prince in the library
